While I agree that they are a great band, the fact that you study audio has nothing to do with how relevant your opinion is. Just because you study audio doesn't mean that you have good taste. And saying god bless at the end of an insult doesn't make you look witty, or whatever it is that you intended. It makes you look like a tool, mostly because you believe in god, and followed shortly by the fact that it is an asinine thing to say.

Portugal. The Man are one of the most talented bands around right now, possibly of all time. This is coming from someone who was raised by one parent who listened to strictly classic rock and one parent who listened but nothing but stone temple pilots, U2 and The Cure. I think Equal Vision is lucky to have a band with this amount of talent on their record and are probably going to eventually lose them.

they also like recording their music videos in places that provide better acoustics. Have you noticed that a lot of their videos r shot in subways, hallways, stairwells and the like? they also must really like Graham Baclagon's style.

I've never had more mixed feelings on a band than this one. I think their songs are crappy and take zero effort or talent to write them, or perform with the exception of the vocals. At the same time, the songs sound so innocent and fun, and you think that maybe trying to create something might get in the way of true expression.

So I guess what I'm saying is...they suck, but God bless 'em.

dude some of the most popular musicians in the world play where simple music as well. bob dylan, nirvana, the beatles are all musicians that play very simple music and they are some of the most talked about and loved artists out there. music isn't about the most effort in a song its about expressing your emotion, opinion,story, etc
