I've got an '04, and that stupid thing is annoying as all get out. Mine is set for 130 so it doesn't go off too often, but I haven't figured out how to simply turn it off.
I own a 2005 GTO and I drive it like a granny. (i'm 41 years old) Maybe I'm too old for sport cars. :) LOL!

Nah, usually if I'm at that speed the windows are down, and I can't hear much of anything except the engine...

all you do, is hold down the set button when your setting the speed you want it to beep at.
