My friends 2004 Z06 is a true "Z06".

He cut the top off and made it a Convertible at the Vette Barn.

Its an amazing job, and you would NEVER know its custom.

All parts are from a C5 Convertable.

I like the stingers more. It has that toned, aggressive sound it it whereas the GHL's have that pipe sound.

It is a 2004 Z06. My friend cut the top off and made it a convertible. Its amazing how good it looks. You can't tell its not factory !

Would really deviate from the "Z06" theme if they were convertables from the factory. Z06 was designed to be taken to race at road courses right from the dealership. Hard tops are more rigid and better race cars. I like my hard top roof line much better than a convertable, or a coupe... Just my humble opinion though.

Sure there is. He took his Z06 to Caravaggio and they did a convertible conversion. An FRC/Z06 is just a Convertible body with a fixed hardtop and a pass through where the top would've been stored anyways.. If you go on Corvette Forum, these two cars are pretty damned well known.

Z06Kid had the car for sale a year ago. This is what was in it at the time. He may have kept it and changed things. Never know with street racers.
