  • thats how chuck lights his cigarrete!

  • cigarette?

  • wish justin bieber was a meter behind that shit.

  • i had seen this test at a F-4 F <3

  • can some one please explane to me what a afterburner really does?

  • @bryce995 Try google. It's amazing.

  • @bryce995 It increases power basicly the engine is going at 100%

  • No wonder you cant hear them yelling into the camera. the camera itself is deaf

  • I'd buy that for a dollar, i bet that gets really shitty gas mileage! ;)

  • How do you take this fucking parking brake off?

  • 0:52 <3

  • wwiiiinng..HFROOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR shhhhhhhhooooooooooo wiiinnnng !FFFROOOOOAAARRRRRRRR!!

  • jets are fucken tough

  • I like that spool-up sound. I like it a lot

  • dass das Mikrofon es aushält.....Nachbrenner ist extrem laut...Maximalschub...

  • favorite fighter ever!!!

  • You can just imagine someone saying.. 'Here mate.. Do me a sausage'

  • Chuck Norris's hair dryer!

  • What is the fuel consumption on full afterburner?

  • @ToonandBBfan A lot!! Without external tanks most fighter jets can delete their entire fuel supply in under 4 minutes or less.

  • @ryanspeed

    Thanks

  • @ryanspeed In Falcon (a combat simulator), I sometimes do the distance from Montréal tu Québec City (125 nm, 145 miles, 230 km) in about 9 minutes, using almost all the internal fuel in an F-16 (7200 lbs). I climb to 35 000 to 40 000 ft to use less fuel.

    /watch?v=ACAHiGJEZck

  • @QAFtuvok101 I have actually flown from Montreal (Cartierville) to Bagotville in a real CF-18 in 13 minutes from takeoff to touchdown. Climbed in afterburner to 37,000 feet, accelerated to Mach 1.4, and slowed below Mach 1 at 100 miles before Bagtoville. Descended in a spiral at Mach 0.95, and landed with about 4,000 lbs left (took off with full internal fuel of 10,000 lbs).

  • @MrMudgeonCur Must've been quite a ride !

  • @QAFtuvok101 Yes, it was - a bit of adrenaline for sure. The distance is about 200 nm (370 km); normally takes about 30 minutes and is a boring flight (if you can say a flight in a jet fighter is boring). Air Traffic control was very accomodating, and nobody lives in the bush between Montreal and Bagotville (no worries about sonic booms). I had a meeting to get to, and maintenance gave me the aircraft late in Montreal. I made the meeting on time.

  • I HAVE to test this on Falcon BMS !

Both with an F-16 AND a CF-18. (not that I don't trust you, I just love to test these things)

Using Open Falcon, I did the equivalent of Montréal - Québec in 9:15 :

    /watch?v=ACAHiGJEZck

    Google Earth : Cartierville - Bagotville = 203 nm.

Not that I did'nt trust you, I always like to get my figures right.

I'll find 2 airports with the same distance on Falcon BMS and try it.

But I'll use the distance from Montréal - Trudeau to Bagotville. (205 nm)

  • He's Trying to dry off the runway isn't he?

  • Standing next to the nozzle of an F-16 running on full AB is an incredible experience, when you do you truly understand what power this thing has - I swear, when the nozzle opened and the AB started burning, everyone were actually forced one step backwards by the pressure wave!

God, I miss working with that aircraft... :)

  • Shit Camera and Camera Man

  • Drying the ground in Chuck Norris way :D

  • they need to use this one for jackass

  • pussie shit ...try F-15E in double burner!!

  • how dose the afterburner work?

  • @faggot2daER Jet fuel sprayed into the tail pipe and ignited by the exhaust from the engine.

  • @ryanspeed thanks

  • @faggot2daER From what I understand, afterburner works by injecting fuel directly into the engine nozzle....but a simple wiki search would yield a more accurate or technical description.

  • @daishi2442 thanks

  • @faggot2daER fuel is injected directly in the exhaust, adding a lot oh thrust (but also burning A LOT OF FUEL)

  • rnoaf is the best!!!

  • GROUND RUN.......

  • I'd be the one running not behind the aircraft, not in front of the aircraft, but RIGHT THROUGH its FLAMES!!

  • @angel1gard Good luck with that... ;)

  • the new 2012 prius will have that as standard.

  • I would love to put Justin Bieber anus in thereXD

  • 0:51 Epic Decepticon Sound?

  • So after all the worrying of the snow this year, the military have designed a new gritter.. It melts snow and clears roads within roughly 0.5 seconds...

  • yea, they had burn your tax dumbasses

  • y it nut fly (╯°□°)╯

  • That's a good way to use 50,000 dollars worth of fuel

  • @HLOSillysniper1 Im sure there is a reason behind it.

  • dont think i would want to be stood there!

  • Yap, that after is burning....

  • Now THATS how you dry an airstrip!

  • 2:46 sounds nice :D

  • Thats one way to clear and dry your property after snow...

  • how the military roasts marhmellows

  • hmmmm i wonder what would happen if somebody was behind that

  • a little a-cell d-cell run. Nice!

  • Expensive way to dry a runway!

    That would have hurt!

  • If you were behind that and you we strapped down...what a mess that would make.

  • That's insane, but what were they actually doing? Engine test? or just screwing around

  • @Lowlightindicator It is an eng test. they are trying to duplicate an engine stall.

  • Chuck Norris uses after burn to lite his sigar!

  • that bitch just wants to be let go lol, the ground behind it is dry for so many feet hahaha

  • Good, now stand in-front of it.

  • Good, now stand in-front of it.

  • @core0713 You should try to find the MiG-31. It has two huge afterburners. :)

  • Oh man so lovely sound from the beggining till the end

  • you can grill a chicken back there in 10 seconds

  • my 1 year tax burnt.

  • Anyone got a bag of marshmallows

  • dare you to touch it

  • Refuel please.

  • 3:42 hes like OMGYAYOMG

  • thats chuck norris's fart

  • Photoshop. There is no sound change between idle and afterburners. Plus, the jet blast would never be that big.

  • @zombyslayer74 idiot.

  • @zombyslayer74 yes it was...some cameras have weak mics so the idle was probably already to much for it so anything past that would just be noise

  • @zombyslayer74 plus the audio wasnt on point with the video

  • according to the butterfly effect this will be the cause of a meteorological armageddon

  • so is this what eorope does with our jets

  • Go lick it. Ill give you $20.

  • throw a loaf of bread through it.

  • at 0:48 I could of have sweared it was the exaust gas going from super sonic to sub sonic there for creating a sonic boom

  • Comment removed

  • Also, I think its pretty dumb for them to all be standing around like that... what if there is a catastrophic failure and it blows up ?...

  • @liveguns it's a recrutment weekend in Norway to get more ungsters into the airforce, i was there a year ago and they told me if something whent wrong i should run untill i hit a fence :P

  • POWER!!

  • I wanna roast marshmellows with that thing

  • @TheSeeker008 You seriously post a comment that someone else commented earlier, and the other person's comment is on the same page?

  • @CantTouchMeSonny I had honestly not read that comment. Also I posted the comment and left the page after watching the first 20 seconds because it wasn't interesting.

  • @TheSeeker008 Ah, I see. I was like, "Seriously dude?" Hahahaha

  • ahhh we got american jet. ooooo awwwww

  • fuck the ear plugs.... Everyone there is either depth or their brains turned to jello O_O

  • nice way to get rid of the wet taxi track

  • do these f-16's still use pratt & whitney engines?

  • @cosmo411 yes, they are using Pratt & Whitney F110 engines.

  • DaVinci just shit his pants

  • microsoft potato 4th gen

  • jump in to it

  • whee! woooosh! i love that sound!

  • Headphone users beware. Make sure your volume is turned almost all the way down.

  • @kevin23677 U wouldn't have any sausage left. Ud have bits of it blown to shit about 200m downwind of that thing. They have alot of thrust

  • So it's raining at this moment... Right? So that dry cone behind the plane is straight from the jet's afterburners.... Daaaaaaaaamn

  • when he turned the camera towards the men, the water on the lense made it look like the engine burst into flames. it scared me for a second. lol

  • I would dare someone to put a marshmellow by the after burner

  • If i were you guys i will run with a sausage behind the engine and go for a barbecue

  • this is in norway:D

  • And my best guess is Germany

  • best way to clear snow off driveway. (And into the next state)

  • The ultimate cigar lighter

  • The short whine, is that a warning sound for the ground crew during these tests or is it an actual engine sound (never heard of it, though).

Also hard to tell which air force this is...the video doesnt offer us a good look at the plane's tail.

  • @WindmillStalker pretty sure its just a normal engine sound. i saw a group of f-15's when i was in the desert and they all made the same sound everytime they got on or off the throttle. and the uniforms look like the canadian air force's to me anyway.

  • @mooner3321 Canada no haz F-16

  • After all it was a cold, rainy day and a fellah needs a nice outdoor space heater

  • damn, there goes my one year of gas.

  • Wonder what would happen if they let go of the plane while its on full afterburn...

  • @hugo199410 It's got brembos.

  • lol is this how u warm up a jet, on those cold days?

  • Херня! Так и не смог репку вытянуть.
