I heard this when I was four, on an Army base, the people next door had a giant blonde console playing this. All I remember though was hearing "Ruby Red" over and over again. That, and "The Happy Organ" were my earliest musical memories.

When I was a kid we had the 45 rpm record of Tom Dooley. this song was on the reverse side.
