@SpartanForgeWorld300 Its not like they can update the xbox 360 with DX10 right there, the hardware in the system is from 2005/2006 when DX 10 was very new or never released... so it was never put into the xbox 360 and cant be replaced now. Probably the newer consoles will accept DX11 or maybe even 12 if that even has a chance of coming out. Wii U will probably be DX10 though

@joshman196 I'm not going to buy the Wii U. It's technology seems to be far outdated and seems to lack Nintendo games. Apparently Nintendo is doing a good job on 3DS. Wii U is going to fail on the graphics department. I'm just waiting to see what PS4 and 720 will be capable of.

In what way is Vista easier to use than XP? For gaming, which is what's being discussed here, XP was the way to go because games ran faster. DX10 was a lot of hype. I still don't use it in most of my games even though I'm using Windows 7 and a DX11 vidcard now.

Good game but the engine seems very inefficient warhead is an improvement but not much. I actually think bad company 2 maxed out on dx11 kinda looks better some times and that game runs way better than crysis. I only hope that that crysis 2 and cryengine 3 runs much better.

All Dx10 does is enable Post Processing effects which can be enabled through the console in Dx9.

@MrGreekdog umm maybe because your laptop can't handle it. or have you tried to install the video drivers? win7 requires at least 2gb of ram to perform decently and proboably a dual core processor. i have no problems with those games. win7 even runs games as old as 2001. if you could run bf2 on max specs before on xp or whatever your o/s was, it should run on 7. its basically a updated xp or the finished vista (as we all know, vista was released half-baked).

It is because that this games are released many years before 7 is released.... Meaning that this game are not compatible for 7 but you can try to play this games on 7 if you... uhmmmm...... I kinda forgot... Oh yes.... If you run it in compability mode and choose XP.... Hope helps :D Maybe :(

@EliteGhost001 It's in the sandbox map editor, nice feature. It allows you to set the shading with an endless amount of options, you can change sun color, brightness, amount of SSAO, amount of Depth of field, sun brightness, sunrays, HDR, and MANY other things. It pretty much allows you to customize your shader for the map you're working on. Check out my vids for some custom maps I've made.

DX 10 has more dynamic volumetric effects wich are great btw, but the thing that makes crysis look great are it's textures and that's why it doesn't make that much of a difference wich of the 2 you have

DX10 was such a nice fake created by Nvidia and M$ to sell Vista and 8800s - funny how in this video Crysis calls these effects "DX10" when you can unlock all of them under XP and DX9.0c by just copying DX10 section of settings into DX9 section and in Warhead they are available by default.
