Touch-down speed was approximately 150 knots. I don't see the problem landing an Airbus A380, loaded with 150 lbs at this speed. This is usual, even on the low-speed side.

About running out, you're right. But there are three things you have to know: -1- it is only 200 feet longer than St.-Maarten -2- it is a very heavy plane. and there's something very weird. You have to approach quite fast ( 175kts ), but it doesn't touch-down that fast ( 145kts ). That makes it very difficult.

I looked at the approach speed of a Boeing 747-400. But now I know it has to be lower.

-3- I didn't use my autobrake ( oeps ), I could use all my flaps ( they were at 30, not at 40 ). 

But you're right, it was a closer landing. You can compare like TNCM: heavy planes on short rwys.
