  • i teft your Motherboad stupid nerd

  • upside down power button at 5:05?

  • This was posted on my birthday! Woop!

  • Should I get this over the z68 ud7? I have a graphics card.

  • waiting for mc to get one have you had a chance to play around with it yet

  • In the PCI x1slot, is there enough room for a Asus Xonar Xense sound card or will it be too long and interfere with the RAM heatsinks?

  • which one is better?:

Asus Maximus IV or Gigabyte P67A-UD7?

  • @HeXCA Im getting dejavu! Id say this mobo.

  • @HeXCA

UD7, the build quality is among the best I have ever seen in a motherboard.

Not to mention, with 2X copper content it will likely last you much longer than the Maximus would.

  • @HeXCA get the new chipset. the z68x-ud7-b3

  • this or p8p67?

  • @Zillamp3z

    UD7....the p8p cant even compare.

  • 3:31 "lets just move the board out of the way first" NOOO!!!!!!! :( xD

  • made in China.

  • there kinda grey ???

  • Would love to see the i7 2600k tested on this board. :)

  • am so gonna buy this. Just wonder if it is compatible with the OCZ PCIe SSD x4...please help.

  • did you get a stiffy from the motherboard at 3:40, LOL, its on the table.

  • what about UD4?

  • I just want to thank you for reviewing and unboxing the product. I have the 2600k and waiting for a good deal on this board before I purchase. I also appreciate your detail in description of board and I was impressed with the air cooler. I may replace my Corsair H50 with this one. :)

  • you should review the asrock Fatal1ty P67 board it looks pretty cool

  • do i have to get new cpu cooling for p67 board ? thank's

  • @van11041104 no p55 works

  • You're not allowed to talk about it (sata 2 or 3 connectors), but I can clearly read it on the PCB though. :P

Nice preview. Still in doubt over what nice board to get. I am fairly convinced i'll get a 2600k instead of a 950 from the benchmarks and so on.

  • Tom iv just looked at the Gigabyte P67 UD7 on scan and overclockers and in the pic of the mobo it looks like thy have changed from black an gold heat sinks to silva an gold is this true or just a error. It looks so nice in your videos

  • Getting this instead of the Maximus IV Extreme due to its ugly heatsinks and lack of standard pci lanes.

  • Have the UD7 here in an Antec 1200 just waiting for my 2600K. Looks really nice and black PCB is <3

I'll testing it with two GTX580 and a Crucial 256GB SSD .... guess this will be fun :D

  • Can we be expecting you to be testing out the 2600k in this mobo since its released now?

  • @Skunk2K20 you can indeed, time has been the only problem for me so far, everything is here just waiting to be done.

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms

It will be awesome if you compare the different flagship P67 model Mother Boards from all the main brands out there, such as Asus, EVGA, MSI and so on...

Some boards offer more USB 3.0 ports than others... and have varying differences of that nature I suppose.

  • LOL. Look at this shirt- Ultra durable :D But dam this board is sexy

  • This is now on Aria for £276 ( :O ), I sure hope that's real gold on it!

  • Love the looks of this board and great review! Will it run 2 x16 VGA's or will one be x8? If yes, can it run the pcie-x1 at the same time 2 x16 dual slot cards are installed? If the answer to both these are "Yes", then Im getting it. Thanks for the preview.

  • That bulge, cheers Tom.

  • Will the new P67 board fit inside a Coolermaster CM 690 II Lite and be powered by a Coolermaster GX 650W PSU? Just that I can get them cheap before the VAT increase. Afterwards I'll be getting my Intel i5 2400K and P67 motherboard. Plus I take it the normal crucial DDR3 1600MHz RAM will be ok for that board too?

  • socket 1155? so I can't use my 1156 CPU on this? :S

  • I think the ASUS mobo looks nicer

  • Tom would you wait for sandy bridge or would you buy the new I7 990x since they are being released at almost the same time?

  • 6:03 ATI Crossfire support xD

  • Finally no ugly blue and white... i might finally buy a gigabyte board now!

  • Finally Gigabyte got rid of the ugly baby blue and white colour schemes on their boards! I'd say.. they should venture more to an aggressive look - like red & black for example. Also it's so good to see these new boards without the useless IDE and Floopy slots. It's good to see that they have move on without those junks slots. The colour were the main reason i never bought Gigabyte mobos. Now i might get one of there's. First, i gotta see how this board performs. Thanks tom the unboxing.

  • i guess that this means that gigabyte are expecting a lot of devices to use usb 3.0 next year :)

  • Finally, Gigabyte realized that the blue PCB looks stupid!

  • @jordan010203 no they have not. the boards are out and they are still baby blue..same as those stupid asus ones...blue of all shades . ew. its why i went with evga when i bought 1366...all black and chrome.

  • Will this have a UEFI BIOS? I saw no mention of that on the packaging. You previously mention the Asus boards will have it, how about these Gigabyte boards?

  • i heard gigabyte were making a gaming line of mobos, any information on this tom?

  • i dont see any antistatic bands, do use any and would you recommand them.

  • it'll support 4 3-way sli? NICE

  • 24 power phases 0.0 wtf!

  • Liking the colour scheme on the board, looks pretty rugged and premium with the black :P

  • Tom thanks for posting these video's something else to watch in the computer genre, I was also wondering if you could give price quotes for the new products, thanks :) I subbed :P

  • @omgitsdefault sadly cant talk about prices yet :(

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms

tom are you allowed to tell us if the 1155 socket has same mountain holes as 1156?

  • THAT IS ONE SEXYASS BOARD!

  • looks like that gigabyte T-Shirt is getting alittle to small for you :D

  • I Can't wait to see your Sandy Bridge reviews in January, I plan on building a system at that point in time, so I'm going to be combining your top picks into a mid level gaming/ nas rig.

  • Hi I have 1 question. Can my old cpu cooler Corsair A70 will fit to this motherboard? Or I have to buy new cpu cooler which will support 1155 socket? Thank you

  • AWESOME looking board!

  • great looking board but now iv i had this ill have a red GPU and a blue GPU....

maybe next build ill go all one colour lol

  • Can u stop saying dude? its not cool, but nice Video

  • cpu fan fins are bent

  • Will these things will cost an arm and a kidney?

Despite that I dislike Gigabyte mobos (had lost of problem with them in the past) this one actually looked fairly nice.

The dual GLAN is especially a funky feature what I could use.

  • This video made you one more subscriber mate :)

Imagine this baby with 80+gold PSU, Dual graphiccards with copperblocks together with matching black sleeving!

  • TTL, are you allowed to say if the 1156 coolers will fit with the 1155 socket?

or is the socket same size as anything? like 775.

Really would be amazing if they made the socket the same as 1156.... water cooling straight away... ; )

  • really excited about the new sandy bridge, will be looking forward to a new build after christmas

  • Black and Gold NICE combo! But is it right that i have to buy a new cpu wich hase just one pin less?! Bute nice design... dreem of a lian li with this board and... uhm ^^

keep up with showing us niche hardware so close!

    grez from Germany

  • awesome vid tom sub me as well :) i do immensely rubbish versions of reviews vlol

  • Think reason it doesnt include a crossfire bridge is maybe becuase its included with a AMD graphics card?

Atleast i got one with my XFX 5870.

  • @ParasiteXX extra bridges are all ways good just like extra sata cables :)!

  • Nice looking board.

Why do gigabyte always put the front panel audio header in a such an awkward place?

  • 2134343 minutes about gold box...

  • Nice PJs.

  • about bloody time they went for black:-D

  • Very attractive board

  • @TimeToLiveCutoms, should i wait and get a 1155 board before building my rig? i just dont know when the new cpu's are coming out, want to build my rig by xmas.

i was going to buy asus p6x58d-e with i7 950

  • Man the kleenex!!!

  • Tom they should give you kudo's for the free advertising. So what's up with Intel? They think the CPU's are going to be destroyed if someone tells the consumer about the processors before January? Heaven forbid we have informed consumers.

    Good work as usual.....

  • 24phase power? what a gimmick.

  • i hope gigabytes am3+ boards are this nice

  • I must say this is looking much nicer than asus and msi offerings

  • It's a very pretty board, reminds me a little of the Samsung Touch of Colour range of laptos/tv/monitor etc. All black with a line of colour.

Very glad I subscribed and found your site, cheers Tom.

  • @Orenchis Im glad you are sub'd aswell dude

  • @Orenchis 2nd there was a sandy bridge up on sat or Sunday ..but nice you still rock buddy

  • pci-e slot 1 and 3 are 16 x, and pci-e 2 and 4 are 8 x, 3-way sli and cross fire, if it's anything like the other mobo's previously released, the six black sata connectors are sata2, and the two white ones are sata3, unless they are switching it on the new boards where you have six sata3, and two sata2's, if you run three cards it'd be 16x, 16x, 8x? I like the all black and gold trim, looks nice, the usb3 header's look a lot different from the usb2's.

  • @unokilo321 no -.- 3 way would be x16 x8 x8

  • the 2nd and 4th pci slots look like they only handle 8x

  • wow!!! sweet motherboard :D

  • buy an i7 950 now or wait for sandy bridge??

  • @TechSpecTv It's hard to say yet whether or not the new 1155 CPU's will out perform it or not. I've seen reviews of the new high end CPU for 1155 though that hit 5GHz on Air cooling though.

  • Do you know when the SandyBridge is planing to be relased?

  • @adamjamesroe ces it will all be offical

  • why didn´t you show us the IO panel at the back?

  • @Fextreme93 he does keep watching

  • I belive you said that you weren't sure about tri-sli and tripple-crossfire (or crossfire in general), but it sais on the board that it's supported (5:18)

but, very nice video, and very nice product.

p.s. Do you know about the instructions per clocktick of the sanybridge, and if a board for tri-sli + phisX will be launched by any company?

  • But still not better then my Evga SR-2 motherboard !

  • Gigabyte really nailed the looks on their new Sandy boards. Seriously considering to buy the P67-UD5 for my next build.

  • ugly ass board with that gypsy yellow on itX(

  • FINALLY i can consider a gigabyte board now they look nice! I know its not ALL about aesthetics but it does play a large part when choosingparts for your baby. And finally we dont have that vile blue! Looks excellent!

  • SEXY Motherboard!!

  • Is gigabyte changing their colour scheme?

  • Yes! Black PCB on a Gigabyte Motherboard!!!

  • will the cou be better than 1050t or will the nda ppl kill u

  • @F4H33M97 1. 1055t*

    2. 1155 is an intel socket, not amd.

    3. What cpu are u actually referring to? do you think they'll only release 1 cpu for the whole socket?

  • @zalmanusa i meant will this 1155 socket cpu be better than the amd 1055t cpu (am3)LOL confusing

  • Very nice with 2 4-pin and 4 3-pin fan headers, and the heatsinks look awesome, great with a heatpipe through all 4 of 'em, looks like I'm gettin ud for my 1155 upgrade.

  • The video is actually 11:55 long, sneaky bastard.

  • okay can you tell use if sandy bridge is worth it yet?

  • i really dont like gold, i wont its yuck i may get the ud5 to save some money and get blue

  • Hey Tom is it the high-end top-of-the-rank Gigabyte 1155 board?

  • @Knr911 we think this will be the top of the range board yes dude

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms how bout ud9:D

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms it still says Ati near the cpu socket..

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms

    Any Ideas on prices? :)

  • @BKsMassive £249 for this one take a look front page of my website

  • That is one hell of a beatutiful mobo :O

Gigabyte has surpassed themselves, I prefer their layout way over the Asus 1155 boards....

  • gonna buy it just because of the colours...\

    YEAH!

  • Gigabyte gone Black, yeah sweet..:)

  • Orgasm when you see the back panel! USB 3.0 :O

  • has it got 48 pci-e lanes? look at the wireing 2x 16slots and 2x 8slots

  • how much will it cost in£

  • Oooooo....pretty! Looks a bit like a Duracell/Gigabyte coalition!

  • 2 x16 slots and 2 8x slots...

    fail at the first 8x!

  • I love the Color

  • Thats something for all the spongebob fans!

  • I cant wait to get my hands on the new equipment! when is the new processors out are you able to give a ruff idea? (I better start saving)

  • So Tom, will i be able to use my 1156 cpu coolers on the 1155 socket? Or can you not talk about that til January?

  • So Tom, will i be able to use my 1156 cpu coolers on the 1155 socket?

  • I think this board is supposed to take on the ASUS Sabertooth.

  • @activate124 Fucking dipshit. Kill yourself.

  • just saying you make the best vids for this stuff on youtube keep it up

  • what cpu thoes it support ? i9 extreme 8 cores ore what haha

  • Is that power button facing the wrong way?

  • Love how the NorthBridge covers the PCI-E x1 Slot.

  • @MrFusionExtreme i think it's for those shorter soundcards

  • FINALLLY GIGABYTE HAS MADE THEIR BOARDS BLACK

  • where does the 1155 boards fit into the 1366/1156 etc?

  • what is this?

    a mainboard?

  • i'd prefer the lga 1366 socket..... but this board its realy cool!!

  • Love the stuff man ^^ keep it up. Really excited for the new 69** series and all the new AMD and intel stuff

  • That board looks... S E X Y

  • no more tri channel is there a reasone 4 dim slots and not three

  • @asus3571 1366 will still be the only boardthat supports tri channel. 1155 is just replacing 1156

  • how many crossfire or sli can you do on this board?

  • @sanahe2000 3 way sli/crossfire. this is showen in between the dimm slots @5:40

  • Any news on LGA2011?? Nice Looking board. One of the reasons i didnt even consider Gigabyte for a build was because of the colors... But this looks amazing

  • why does it have a ATI logo ?

  • @sonic003573 for crossfire X

  • GIGABYTE-BLACK?!? Wooohoooo they have reached their puberty!

  • Damn, a thing of beauty. A beast deserves to come in black.

  • Hey just curious, when you have big companies like Gigabyte sending you products like this before they've even been released so you can review them, do you then get to keep them and start using them before anyone else, or do you have to return them after you've made the video/review? Generally speaking, not specifically about with this video (since you'll probably also need an 1155 processor as well to use this anyway).

  • @nanquan491 really depends on what the product is and who sent it. Some componants do stay, my whole team has bench rigs and all the hardware I use is supplied. Its sent for the website, YouTube is just something I do because Im gluton for punishment and running the site isnt enough :p

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms -I Hope you get to be a youtube partner soon , I have an acquaintance that has a Youtube channel and makes around 90,000$ U.S doing it from ad revenue sharing...

  • I read that somebody had one of these 1155 setups @5ghz on air , I'm guessing this will be more high end than 1156. .. I have a Very Small Computer Building business , I do very little of the high end stuff , I'm building 10-15 of the i3 530 or AMD3 x4 640 cpu/motherboard/4gb Ram set-ups a Week , a lot of the time for me it's just upgrading peoples old case that have an old P4/Amd.

  • I'll Say One thing as a Small builder , I wish Intel would use a Similar way to attach the CPU Fan to the Mother board ,It's Way easier to change an AMD CPU Fan than an Intel One.

  • Wow a gigabyte board that id actually want to show off!

  • "Unlocked performance" on the front? Okay, that explains everything. I bet sandy bridge supports on-mobo NB's and whatnot as well as being an AIO solution for those of us who just want to buy a mobo and cpu and have it do everything.

  • What's replacing 1366? LGA 2011?

  • @jacobmcr858 nothing yet, i think eventually they will replace it w/ 2011 or something

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms i have to agree with u mate, it looks incredible!

  • i am not sure about the positioning pci 1x slot. looks like it will be blocked by the north bridge heatsink. My TV tuner card surely wont fit without hitting the cooler.

  • GIGABYTE MAKING A GOOD LOOKING BOARD?!!!

  • Excellent as usual. Keep up the great work, and good luck with any NDA trouble :/

  • So will 1155 > 1366?

  • @MediaJunkie92 no mate thats not the way its aimed either

  • @MediaJunkie92 Socket 2011 is supposed to replace 1366 in the performance class, 1155 is the mainstream Sandy Bridge socket.

  • @MediaJunkie92 p55 - p67 1156 - 1155

  • its 16x than 8x->16x->8x pci ex

    6.33 in the video

  • Why would it could with a crossfire cable? Hasn't it always been SLI cables come with the motherboards and crossfire cables come with the cards?

  • That is a sexy MB, The best looking one I have seen of the p67

  • THIS VIDEO ENDS AT 11:55!!!!! OMG

  • The time on the video is 11:55 :P

  • Too bad the P67's PCIe lanes are still too limited for decent dual GPU performance.

  • @Tmoney65413 x8 is fine for sli or crossfire

  • @Ksquaredgaming That is only for 2 of today's cards. An upcoming chipset shouldn't be so limited.
