ok im new to motorcycles but i really want one. i know i want a harley but im not sure what kind. i want something low to the ground and kinda stable feeling because to be honest im scared of bikes. i just want to be lower to the ground and able to control it realy well. im thinking harley road king but idk any ideas?

@3G4life1990 dude just dont go harley they are not that great, and usually have huge engines which you wont like if your new to riding check out something like a yamaha virago 250 or a suzuki intruder 250, just till you get the hang of it

@3G4life1990 checkout the 883 sportster they are really nice bikes, great to start on if you want a harley. Also i would buy used for your first bike. Least till you get more experience on them.

harleys are for people who like the look. gsxrs look cool and modern, the get more power than a harley out of a much smaller cc engine. like i said there isnt a comparison, harleys are just built wrong.

Harleys only have 2 cylinders and Jap bikes have 4 usually. Harleys redline at about 5500rpm and jap bikes redline at 12 or 13k on most of them. Why is everyone so bent on speed and going fast? Its not al about racing adn who can go the fastest. I dont want to go over about 80 or 90mph most of the time on any highway. I like to cruise and go sightseeing.

and i completely get it mate, its just the way harley riders seem to hate jap bikes, calling them rice burners and shit. i dont mind cruisers myself, not really my thing, id rather ride a sport tourer like a triumph sprint or honda vfr 800. theyre comfy, u can cruise on them, and also get the hammer down if u have to.

Yeah I understand. I dont have anything against the jap bikes except that they try to copy Harley instead of being original. BMW and others dont copy HD. And remember you can get the hammer down on a Harley too. Mine resgisters 120mph and Ive done every bit of it on the highways just to see if it could and it gets there rather quickly too. I just dont care about racing anyone, I just need enough power to pass someone on the highway

yeah jap bikes copy harleys because harleys are one of the best known cruiser brands in the world. i havnt seen harley make any supersports yet. they aim for the biggest market in that particular type of bike. yamaha kawazaki suzuki and honda are all great bike manufacturers. and im pretty sure none of theyre best selling bikes are harley copies. hharleys are nice bikes, id just prefer a honda because of the abbundance of parts, the looks and performance.

yep 200mm rear...we just picked up our Fat Boy last week...Denim Black. Can someone tell me why the plate frames only are for US plates, cause in Canada our plates are larger and HD has no Canadian plate frames? LOVE our bike and we are two chicks. WE also own two 2008 Honda CBF 1000's-best of both worlds!
