Thank you so much, this was my favorite dish when i lived in Japan. I will make this and Yakisoba tonight for dinner. I just started my favorite Utada Hirakru album and I will enjoy my dinner tonight.
I just made a modified version of this recipe a few moments ago (I don't have any meat at home tonight), and they worked out beautifully! Thank you so much for posting the video!
@ochikeron This may sound like an ignorant question, but has Japan always had potatoes? I was under the impression that potatoes were only originally from the Americas since Europe did not have them until the 17th century. Do potatoes feature prominently in Japanese cooking? Sorry again, I was just curious. Absolutely love your recipes!
heheh, sorry but this is just to correct ur english if u don't mind, instead of saying " the following are the ingredients" if i heard that correctly y not say " here are the following ingredients " ^_^
I love all the recipies you did... But, again, I cannot support the music... Become loud when you are not talking... But I think it's just me who do not like it, lol!
@KaLiSsBbw i heard that from some people who use specific desktop PC with speakers. maybe it depends on the environment X( i am sorry if it's annoying. i hope i can improve that in my future videos!!!
@junkateria good question! for this recipe, tonkatsu sauce is optional since the korokke itself has a flavor. i love to eat it as is. only ketchup is good, too! the taste of tonkatsu sauce is salty sweet like okonomiyaki or yakisoba sauce (if you know). it is made of vegetables, so very tasty. oh, maybe a good example is mixing ketchup and soy sauce. it tastes kind of that :D
@ochikeron Thanks for the quick answer! I'm buying the ingredients and cooking this up tomorrow. It looks like a great recipe. I'm pretty sure I can get the Yakisoba sauce. If not, I do have ketchup and soy sauce as back-up plan. Thanks again!
@junkateria great! i hope it comes out nice. yakisoba sauce is little salty, so i think your back-up plan is better :) the amount is like 2 tbsp ketchup and a dash of soy sauce. soy sauce is salty, so you need only a bit of it.
love this recipe love the music more. Where did you get this music-they're like remakes aren't they....please tell me :) i want them on my ipod thank you!!!!!
@ig852456 thank you!!! yes! i love those kinds!!! those kinds are popular in japan and many cafes and even at japanese restaurants, they use!!! and also jazz is used, too. funny, right?! hehe
oh it looks so good! I've always wanted to make this but i want to wait till i get some bulldog sauce. ive never had it but my friends who have say its wonderful! cant wait for your next video! <33
i really love the way u make the video ^^ nice and clear , keep it up !

Ochi, what kind of flavor does tonkatsu sauce have? I don't believe I'll be able to find it. Would a good substitute be sweet, tangy or . . . ?

/watch?v=35H4-AR010k (you will probably like more songs of this artist, Vanessa da Mata is very popular)
P.s.: Sorry, it was going to be just one suggestion, but I remembered more... ^ ^'
