Might be worth mentioning: Hour of twilight cast is own to 3 seconds and fading lights come twice as fast. That's the issue with this fight i think the alternating is piss easy.

Hello my guild is currently trying to work on new heroic bosses and are trying to decide which one to push for next. We have killed heroic morchok and cant decide between Yor'Sahj and Ultraxion. I being the highest dps do about 41k and 2 others do about 38k each then it drops to 28k each on heroic Ultraxion currently. I was wondering which in your opinion would be best for us given the current stats. Thanks!

@AlkineFinal Currently we're progressing on this boss, we just had 3 wipes in a row tonight on 1%, so we're not far from killing it. Anyways, Our dps is 2-3 on 40k and then the 3-4 others between 32k-38k. First healer is on 40k hps and the second is on 45k hps. And we've got it to 1%... we start with hero where 2 of us is bursting 60k dps.

If your 1% wipes are coming from people dying because of the -insane- damage output near the end (as opposed to the hard enrage), consider doing Heroism later to help your healers through the later phases where damage is higher.

Also, are you pre-potting? Have your DPS drink a DPS potion right BEFORE combat begins. That starts the potion CD. Then use potions again when you pop Heroism.

@seanthomas85 We killed it last week, but yes, we we're prepotting, and we popped hero in the start and in the end, because in the start our priest healer went inside, so that he wouldnt get hero debuff, and then he could get hero in the end. The other healer was the one popping hero, so he couldnt really do the same, but it sure helps in the end.

@IdolAlteracMountains Morchok -> Ultra -> Yor -> Hagara -> Zon -> Blackhorn -> Madness -> Spine, from easiest to hardest this, i think, is the order they're in. Yes i think Spine is harder than Madness on HC. and 395-400 ilvl should be enough for atleast ultraxion.

@Helkorlinator We did heroic Morchok first, then heroic Yor'Sahj, and then heroic Warlord. We're doing heroic Ultraxion as our fourth, so yeah, it depends on how you define "easiest to hardest." If your raid has DPS capable of reaching their limits, then Ultraxion will be easier earlier on. Ultraxion isn't nearly as complex as Yor'Sahj and Warlord, either. If your raid has stronger healing, tanks, movement, and coordination, Warlord and Yor'Sahj may be the right route.

When the difference between two specs is 5%, choose the spec you are more comfortable with, you will do more damage that way.

You must blow all survivability and healing CDS to allow everyone to survive until the 7th HoT, that will enable the raid to be topped off and finish off the last 1-2%

below ~12% that the damage dealt will exceed your capacity to heal unless you are prepared with sequential raid CD

Hit CDs slightly earlier rather than later - eg. I used Tree of Life at 12%, blanketed the raid with rejuv with Efflorescene and WG on CD and regrowth spam from there, Spirit Link at 7% and tranq 5 sec thereafter.

Worth mentioning to anyone working or thinking of working on this boss, hour of twilight cast time is around 2 seconds, and to maximize dps you need to pop heroic will at 1 second remaining on fading light. Literally every second counts on this fight!

Also, did you guys find it necessary to hit your Heroic Will with an exact amount of time left on the debuff? We usually try to have people smack that big purple button with 4 sec left, so that the cats eating HoT have that ability back even if they were that last set of Faded partners before HoT comes again. 3 sets of 2 players for HoT. An extra partner on top of the Tank's Faded(1T+2P). Easy enough, so I can see why you guys have labeled this a DPS race, the mechanics are shit and simple to comprehend. What was the groups exact composition for the kill in your video? My raid will be attacking this cunt 2nite, hopefully the DPS can hang >.<

I play a druid and took red. Did around 47k HPS. Other was a holy pally who took green, but then switched to blue once it spawned. He ended around 38k HPS.

Don't think 32k dps is gonna cut it though. Our lowest DPS was 34k, highest was 44k. Our DPS average was around 37.5k, tank did 19k. Given that, we barely pulled it off and that included using any damage reduction anyone could give. A DK tank with the 4p bonus was amazing.

we used a prot warrior and a feral bear, and a hpally and a resto druid healing. the dps was me as an arcane mage, a destr lock, a sirvi hunter, uhn DK, a spriest and a ele shammy. we just beat the enrage timer by 5 seconds, but was a kill none the less :P

Just tried this with 2 tanks (prot warr & blood dk), 2 healers (disc priest and druid) and the rest dps. Our dps was 1 fire mage, 2 warlocks, 1 frost DK, 1 ele sham and 1 ret pala.

This combo will never work. FML. Blizzard just has to make it awkward for us low pop servers where not every class is available to pick and chose from.

@ThePantryMaster it can work will just require some coordination and tank 4 piece. tanks can stay out together np, dk with ams, pain supp and pws combined with mage cauterize, and finally both the warlocks with soullink, shields and 4 piece warrior shieldwall.

if its sketchy and your losing ppl from twilight still have the pally sac the dk and make your dk go unholy to drop an amz for the warlocks. the blood dk can use his 4 piece vampiric blood after each twilight for healing increase.

The thing is in 25 you always beat this boss just before the enrage timer even with very good dps. If you want to beat him @ 5:30 in 25 you need to bring only 3 healers with you.

i think you would be better off having the holy paladin take the blue buff as it will increase the tick rate of holy radiance the speed at which u can cast it and cause u gain 1 holy power per holy radiance cast u gain holy dawn at a much faster rate as well, as well as getting beacon healed with every holy shock and light of dawn that is cast, u can have holy radiance tick'in on 3 different people. essentially u have 4 aoe heals going at the same time almost all the time.

We killed this boss on our 8th attempt and had no wipes to enrage, healing or dps. The attempt people stopped failing at pressing the button we downed the boss. We killed the boss in 5:20, used no disc priests / healer dps and our tanks wore full tanking gear and did not re-reforge for more hit or expertise. In my opinion the fight was the easiest of the 5 first ones, discluding Morchok. We've had a lot of dps gear drop though, and 2 leg staves.

Why do you think we killed it with such an ease?

i would prefer to know your classes and specs. I'm an arcane mage and due to our set up, i am VERY reluctant to change to fire, as the 3% damage increase is way too useful to lose. looking at your set up, either you had an arcane mage, or a BM hunter using the buff. otherwise you were missing out on alot of DPS that could have helped your fight out conciderably. im just saying :P

That would mean the boss would die around the 5:30 mark, which is pretty much the longest you'll go in the fight. So that's not a bad estimate yes ;)
