  • Хотел-бы такое хобби, жаль что финансы не позволяют.

  • Never mind, not at that depth it wouldn't be, nor tri-gas. Just air or argon I suppose.

  • Nice vid. I'm mostly used to salt water dives. But I'm moving back to grand rapids after 16 years in new Mexico, only blue hole and some lakes out here, maui and kona Hawaii were amazing. However I'm excited for some fresh.water dives, any recommendations for spots near GR would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and that tank under your chest is helium for your drysuit is it not?

  • Good job on the video. Who is the music by?

  • @truenorthmark Not sure. I had different music on it but YouTube threatened me over copyright issues and I had to use their music. I just picked something random so I have no idea what it is or who it is...sorry...:-(

  • @BCSDive No problem. I am always looking for good background music for some programs that I put together and that was a pretty sweet jam. I am using mostly stills, but incorporate some movie bites as my still camera is capable of HD video. I keep my boat in Mackinaw. Stop in and say hi if you are ever in the area. The boat name is "True North." Always enjoy meeting other divers and swapping stories.

  • @truenorthmark I was just up there on Friday last week. dived the Eber Ward w/Craig out of Straits Scuba. Beautiful weather and great viz...I'm workin' on that vid now. Will try to post asap. I'll be sure to try and look you up next time I'm there! Good luck w/the vid work! (thanks for the kind words wrt the vid...:-)...)

    Best,

    Brandon

  • awesome video!

  • Great vid keep up the good works.

  • Great vids, thanks! I'm going to my first OWD class this week, I'm so excited thinking that I'll be able to see wrecks with my own eyes in the future!

  • sweet vid man im starting scuba soon but i was wondering is it scary going down say 100 feet or more for the first time. or do you get more relaxed as you dive more

  • @samlove57 Thanks!! Glad you liked the vids! WRT your questions, personally I believe one's confidence increases w/competence. In other words, as you become more skilled as a diver, the anxiety or worry dissipates. Receiving high quality training and gaining a LOT of experience is critical. Choice of dive team is just as important as your own training. Choose your instructor(s) wisely. I would NOT recommend the "Yellow Pages" approach for finding training.

  • awesome. How old are those ships?

  • @kevincrowe1

I believe they went down in the 1880's time frame.

  • @kevincrowe1 I believe they went down in the 1880s time frame.

  • Awesome footage great music. You guys rock! Love the scooters!!

  • Nice video thanks for posting

those guys were so lucky. very good video excellent soundtrack

  • there are a so called name to this wreck:awesome:D:D i gotta go dive there xD

  • I can not swim at long distance. but I want diving. I like ocean .

  • is there a date for this wreck, looks really cool.

  • i agree this movie is awesome all my thumbs are up (even the feet ones)

  • music?

  • sounds like david sanborn on the sax

  • Thanks everyone for the very nice comments!! Glad y'all like the vids.

  • Wow! that's an amazing wreck. it's in perfect shape and perfectly level.

  • there is something strange, what is that white thing that passes by at arround 1:41, there is the ship and the diver, but something crosses from left to right.

  • small particle in the water. Could be any of a number of tiny living marine animals. That stuff is seen by the diver, but because of the focus setting on the vid cam, it is rarely caught by the camera... this is done on purpose and helps to give a MUCH clearer picture than what is seen by the diver (IOW, real visibilty is less than what the camera records---we call it the magic camera...:-)...)

  • @BCSDive ! SWeet! I really can't wait to get my junior openwater diver license!

  • i saw that thing too

  • I never understood why scuba divers are way too happy ..including me ..once we get next to the sea.. :-)

  • that was probably the coldest dive ever lol

  • in the great lakes are there any sea life like fish or something

  • Yes, there are fish in the great lakes.

  • Very cool video! Looks like fun. But for you guys waiting for the water in NJ/NY to warm up, isn't that like waiting for hell to freeze over?? Haha

  • This is Great! I can't wait for the waters to warm up here in NJ, gonna jump in head first! :)

    Great vid 5/5

    ^_^

  • I wouldn't mind scuba diving just for fun.

  • cool video i cant wait for the water to warm up hear in ny

  • very nice i hope i can go there one day.

how can the divers with each other under the water ?

  • Does anyone know of any diving schools in Louisiana?

  • Commercial diving or recreational scuba?

  • Well what's the difference?

  • Commercial is diving construction, inspection, survey, demolition. in other words, for money as a professional. It encompasses the use of "hardhat" diving equipment and usually surface supplied gases as well as communication and support teams. This is much different than recreational scuba diving for leisure entertainment or hobby. Training commitment (as well as cost and availability) required for each differs considerably.

  • Okay I see, well I've always wanted to try fresh water diving but if I can't make money from it then I guess regular diving.

  • You can make money doing commercial diving in freshwater. Back to your original question, I asked what type of diving your were looking to do because that would dictate where to seek an education/training in it. Louisiana (Morgan City and the like) has some very active commercial diving firms and I believe at least one school. On the other hand, if you just want to scuba dive (fresh or sea water), just open the yellow pages for a local dive shop. They all offer recreational training.

  • Oh okay, Thank you for that information. I would rather freshwater dive but I'm just looking for something to fall back on. But I will look into it thank you.

  • go to google and type diving school or diving courses near your addres and i hope that will be easy to you..

  • I hope so too. But it wasn't lol.

  • horrible song choice, but it was kinda cool to watch =]

  • I posted a link to a copy of the original vid w/original music choice. I agree wrt the song choice, but they forced me to do so...:-(.... the link appears in the vid above at ~ :19 seconds. Thanks for watching!!

  • WOAH IT LOOKS LIKE UR FLYING!!!

  • Wow I am wanting to do plenty of dives, after seeing this you guys must know some popular dive sites!

  • Nice!

  • "Ghost ship" indeed.

  • You guys have got balls diving down somewhere like this.

  • actually its pretty fun if you do it its not scary the ocean is alot scarier in the deep

  • I would argue that point after diving around the world in most of the oceans. The Great Lakes, while not as "alive" with creatures, offer at least the challenge of the oceans.

  • Wow vis. has increased dramatically since i was there!! You got some good video shots...I would stick with traditional fades :)

  • Nice! Is that pony you are carting around or an ascent bottle? you guys move too fast!

  • Those are 2-40cf aluminum deco bottles (one has 50%EANx, and one has 100% O2), the larger bottle is an aluminum 80 (80cubic foot) stage bottle to extend bottom time when using the single set of twins for multiple dives.

    brandon

ps...scooters are designed to carry the diver faster than swimming.

  • I love this video guys; But what is the name of the songs you used?

  • Thanks!!!

That first one is by The Eels and is called "Mr. E's Beautiful Blues", the second one is called "Yeah" (can't remember who does it though), and the last one is "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet.

    Glad you liked the vids!!!

    best,

    brando

  • Nice dives and vid! What prog did you use for your opening titles? That hand drawn effect is good.

    Well done!

  • Thanks!!

The program I use for much of my titling is called "Livetype"...it's for Macs and came w/my Mac.

Thanks again to everyone for the very kind words!

    Best,

    brandon

  • this is my family ship

  • NO! Shipwreck spoiler ... Now I've seen 'em! LOL Just kidding. Seriously though, Awesome vid. What kind of scoother are thoose?

  • The helm was just sitting there. It would have been mine! Anyway, all of your videos are great and this is just another one of the greats. Please post more info on the location of these wrecks, depth, water temp, etc.

  • OK, got it. The first song is "Mr. E's beautifull blue" by the Eels, and it's my new favorite song. You guys are amazing divers, btw. Let me know if you're going to be near Seattle- I show you some Puget Sound diving!

  • Hells yeah!! That was bad ass!!! Thanks for posting that, great soundtrack to boot! Two "SMB'S" up...

  • Great vid! What's that first song on it? I love it!

  • Those are great sites- they were so intact, with standing Rigging and a deck house, great job on the editing too ! are you shooting wide angle? Tri mix ?

    thanks!

  • Thanks for the kind words! Yes, trimix....far too deep for air safely.

Very wide angle lens as well.

    best,

    brandon

  • Neat , thanks

  • looks pretty interesting!
