  • Hi! I got a Korg AX3000g, what settings/efffects if it for this solo? Please help!

  • @aptematik Not sure what settings would work for the Korg. You will need a good compressor and Phase shifter. Good luck and thanks for watching.

  • Vikings suck

  • @troy22678 agreed.

  • This is great!

Just quick question, what strings were you using for this?

  • @Miike183 I use DAddario 9's XL120

  • Hey dude, how do you get a clean from your guitar and record a good clean video live?

I can do the two separate but I can't figure out how to do them at the same time :/

  • @Jc447 I use Garage Band to record the audio and I use Final Cut Pro to sync Audio and Video together. You have to record them separately and then sync them into your video editing software. Not too hard. Good luck

  • 1:06 SHHHH! Dog sleeping! xD

  • kirk hammett's guitar!!!!

    GREAT!!!

  • at 0:26 were you using pinch harmonics?

  • dog sleep *-*

  • the dog likes the bar yelling

  • Where did you get your backing track ?

  • I love it!

  • any suggestions on how to get those crazy screams like at 00:26?

  • @GarretGoodbarrel those are pinch harmonics.

  • @acffbc321 So he's pullin a pinchy while bringin up the whammy bar to get that "Whaaaaaaaa!" sound? or is that more in the effect from the amp thats causing it?

  • @GarretGoodbarrel two things.......1. The Guitar, amp and effect helps get the overall sound. 2. The use of the whammy bar, pinch harmonic and attack of the pick makes all the difference. It's hard to replicate some sounds and even the original player who created that unique sound may have a hard time getting it EVERY time. But it can be done and with the right practice anyone can replicate this sound if they like it. Thanks for watching!

  • How do you get that high pitched sound at the beginning of the solo ?

  • @StickArenaProzDude tapped harmonics =)

  • the dog its like hey its cool man ...but just let me sleep plz....nice cover by the way

  • how did u put that camera angle did u use a webcam?

  • @tamir1111111111Strapped my Sony HD Handycam to the headstock. The only thing is that the weight of the camera is so heavy it makes it hard to play while its on there. I actually have to hold the guitar very hard with my right forearm to help hold it up. Makes playing hard but I think the view is pretty cool :)

  • @djohnson63 if you had a randy rhoads guitar you could just use your thighs to hold it up hahaha it really works out the legs

  • S-K-I-L-L!!!!

  • @djohnson63 , nice work ! you rock !! Can u tell me what that thing in the top of your guitar's neck

  • Nice ESP, played that same model guitar today.

Awesome tunes by the way! Great videos!

  • @krionite Thanks! and No the Dog just likes to sleep and is used to me making obnoxious noises with the guitar :)

  • @krionite LOL, the dog can sleep through anything! Thanks for the nice comment!

  • Sick camera view! and nice kirk hammet esp !

nice job playing the solo dude

  • lmao! a kirk hammet signature guitar, wow ive never seen one of hose play this solo..

  • GIve the dog a bone....!

  • Your tone has no sustain at all. And it bothers me. >.<

  • @CasualDiscussion Part of it seems to be the guitar itself. I've played one of those myself at Guitar Center and the sustain just really wasn't as good as I expected it to be for a signature guitar.

  • @CompulsiveOrigami You know. I think you're right, but I think it's kind of a thing with certain floyd roses maybe. My friend has a schecter damien and it plays great but it's sustain is unbearable.

  • @CasualDiscussion Very true. There are some guitars with the FR system, and it's just that tremolo system that causes some problems. Then there are other cases where the sustain is amazing with the FR and the lack of any electronics to help with that sustain (like some Jackson guitars have the Sustaniac pickup, etc.). This KH-2 just seems to be a bad combination of a bad guitar and a bad FR. No wonder he doesn't play it in shows, haha

  • @CasualDiscussion Sorry Dude! You really don't have to listen if it bothers you. As far as no sustain? The KH-2 has great sustain IMHO. It's probably the way In played it and not the guitar.

  • @djohnson63 I mean, it's not a bad cover ahaa. It just seems like if your tone had a little bit more sustain your playing would sound more like what you're actually playing and not all like you play something and then the sustain kind of muddys it up and then the sound dissapears... :P

  • I agree.. get some vibrato on those notes and more sustain.. your cutting them all way to short. Other than that nice playing.. Keep practicing bro

  • @zwemg Please show me your skills

  • i like your dog

  • i wish my dog was like yours , me=playin ; dog=sleepin' , not pissing me off

  • haha the dog is like keep it down.

  • my guitar!

  • nice KH guitar

  • great!!!

  • if you think about it real hard then bang your head against a wall a couple of times this isnt actually that hard :I

  • awesome inlays

  • kh 202, or kh 602?

  • Nice!!!

  • Well, without wanting to diminish the value of your technique at all, this is not really a "lesson", is it? The beginner just looks what you do, and says... oh heavens, what am I going to do and how to get that, and such. So, give us please some more info or advices, since this is really not a solo that one can play just by looking, ey? So, some more details, if you could spend the time?

  • @kickniko well to be fair, "the beginner" should learn scales/techniques and be pretty good at plain pentatonic jamming before they try to learn a solo like this. thats what i did.

  • @kickniko It's true that this is not really a "lesson" because I don't really take the time to explain anything I just slow it down hoping this will help someone in learning the solos. I could have tried to explain it more but to be honest, i wasn't entirely happy with the way it turned out anyway.

Unfortunately this type of lesson is really for someone who has a pretty good understanding of lead techniques and scales. Sorry it did not help you much.

  • @djohnson63 Dont listen to him dude. You did an excelent job. Keep on rockin'

  • Répondre à cette vidéo... PLEASE DO IT !! ^^ CAUSE THAT WAS AMAZING , JUST MISS THE EXPLAIN

  • @djohnson63 PLEASE DO IT !! ^^ CAUSE THAT WAS AMAZING , JUST MISS THE EXPLAIN

  • @kickniko then go find another lesson unless you're paying him to explain it properly which you arent..

  • @kickniko- I strongly disagree. This is a certainly a lesson and a very easy solo for the experienced guitar player. I learned the solo perfectly from this video and a little fixing up of the rough spot. My take is, if you need more than this, you are NOT anywhere near ready to attempt to play this song. When you are, you will look at this video and know exactly what to do. Keep playing everyday is always the answer! The only negative is the extreme angle, but hey, we can handle it.

  • @kickniko it is really not a beginner solo , if you cant play the song using this vid then you are probably not ready anyway, such an impressive solo is only impressive because it is so hard,,, but keep trying though if you think you can master it, but just the tapping part needs pretty good skill

  • i hate michael jackson but i like eddie, and what strings do you have on there, i also have the kh 202 rock on!

  • @chiggenyummy 9's :) D'Addario EXL120

  • @chiggenyummy It's mj's song ok?If you hate MJ then dont every listen or play beat it.cause this solo is because of MJ.He had made this solo and eddie transformed it to the guitar so shut up before u speak kid

  • @chiggenyummy michael jackson and eddie are good u retard
