BTW...I'd be very happy to see Rua like his old self, and see a fantastic fight between him and Machida. But what I want is not necessarily what I expect. I do want Machida to win, but also want a GREAT fight.

Things can change a lot, sometimes quickly. It is often difficult to know what we will get. But I have to base my thoughts on a fighter's last few fights. Not how they were fighting for years before that.

But he has shown a MAJOR drop in speed. Forget cardio. Just watch him in the 1st round of his recent fights. Nowhere near the speed he needs now. That will be the major factor vs Machida.

Omg dude BE an open minded MMA fan and go analyze the Liddell fight. Shogun's hand speed was great in that fight. Watch Shogun's head movement and he actully Counter punches instead of rushing in with bombs. His defense was off the charts in the Liddell fight too, Liddell did little if not any damage at all. When is the last time you've seen Shogun crumble someone with one punch power like he did to Liddell..... NEVER. He is better than he used to be and people are blind if they cannot see that
