HL2 EP2 - Sticking it to the GNOME!

just try this if you got some coding knownedge on console.

First look at the gnome item.

ent_setname -give a name-

ent_fire -given name- setparent !player

It'll stick the gnome to your player model. xD

After the road trip finishes , ent_fire -given name-clearparent

@nave4pres2 when i type ent_fire -gm (where gm is the given name) clearparent the gnome is disappear and i can't found it...... what should i do? i'm at the end where you must put the gnome in to the rocket.....

@DjRazZ93 Actually it's not disappearing. It's getting a stabilized weld in your player model.Sometimes you can't see it. Because it's welded to your arm,back or foot. Try ent_rotate -given name-. It'll rotate the gnome's anchor point. I hope it helps.

it helps if ur tryin 2 do this achievement where u put the gnome in the rocket, which is later on in the game.

i did this the hard way, i got out the car, threw it forward then got back in the car and drove on to where the gnome had landed and then continued this process. It is hard when the heli is shooting at you but if you have alot of health and suit power you can make it, use the trains and things to hide under! :)

I tried to do it this way. But I think I'll wait until Valve bugfixes that bastard always launching ME into space for stepping on him. And why can he go through car-seats and Alyx's back just like a ghost?? And he always disappears somewhere in the wood when the hunters attack...

It's lying under a cupboard right to the exit-door in the house at the beginning of the game where you put the power-plug of the combine-console into the wall and Alyx contacts her father, Kleiner and Magnusson to tell them she has the combine's portal code.

Emmm... ?!? You take him with you all the time by pressing E or using the gravitron! ;) You always put him into a save place when you fight, you often go back all the way to the beginning of a map to get him, you go searching him for a lot of times...

Sometimes you can leave him in places you automaticly come back to: near the elevator where the Vortigaunt takes care of Alyx or in the garage at White Forest before fighting the striders.

The biggest problem will be not to lose him and/or your life while driving through the forest and fighting the hunters!

I wish I could let all the enemies make a step on him...
