you need to run 91+ cuz the low octane stuff combusts prematurely in the cylinders from pressure and not a spark. low octane in a turbo = timing issues/blown engine in the long run

All the turbo cars are recommended to use premium fuel but I have petted medium in mine but never tried regular it decreases performance plus I want my engine to be clean.

STi's run a min of 91 octane, but i always use 93 if its an option (depending on the state). you feel a power difference only using 91. even the fuel door says "premium unleaded fuel only." i hope this helps

Looks like new people in Subaru camp for the first time. In Europe and Asia , Subarus always sold machines in close to 300hp range and start at over 200hp base models. Imprezas are H-4 not V-6, but sounds like V6 or even V8. I hear 2008 impreza gets 330hp engine.

for those of u who are ignorant, the JDM Legacy B4 was 280 hp and sequential twin turbo 2.0 flat 4 engine. all imprezas wrx and sti are single turbo. the new impreza sti and new legacy b4 are twin-scroll single turbos for faster spoolup and less turbo lag.
