  • This is a wonderful group. I believe they sing solely for the glory of God. They have such a God given talent. I know Kenny is in Heaven now. Praise the Lord, I will meet them in Heaven some day. God Bless The Hinsons, Gwen Weaver

  • These guys, the Lefevres, the Dixie Echoes, are my three favorite all-time but I'm not that well educated on all the groups....

  • Larry's facial expressions were off the hook!!

  • This is one of my favorite Hinson songs! Thanks for sharing!

  • It just doesn't get any better than The Hinsons! Kenny is in a class all by himself. I've had the honer of getting to see them several times when I was a child. Can't wait to hear that heavenly choir with Kenny on the lead.

  • larry rocked the ending!

  • To hear another set of fabulous vocals such as those of the late Kenny Hinsons' one would have to search high and low up on the portals of Glory...even then...I doubt they would measure up to his God given ability !! Miss ya Kenny !!

  • I remember as a kid only 5 or 6 and watching the Gospel Singing Jubilee. I loved the Hinsons then and still love anything Hinson. I've seen them many times in concert since then even seeing the current Hinsons with Bo and his sister Kym last year. This video takes me back to my childhood sunday mornings when all was right in my world. They are as familiar as momma's cooking. Thanks for shareing and waiting for more.

  • Natural singers don't have vocal teachers.

  • i know...and this is why i quit taking voice lessons...it was ruining my voice, and now people tell me my voice sounds so much better because of that!

  • I just realized something...Christina has that vibrato in her voice, which my vocal teacher calls a nervous twitter...but, it sounds so good on her! wow...and larry, too...love it!!!!! :-)

  • Of all the songs they did, this is one of my personal favs...I watch it over and over again so I can play and sing it! thanks for posting all the great hinson vids!!!!!! :-)

  • Praise God! Thanks for sharing ... what a blessing!

  • Kenny is WAY BETTER THAN MERLE or ANYONE ELSE!!!!!!! The Top Two Voices, pure voices, not entertainment factor, looks, creativity, artistry, or anything else (although these two guys have all of that too), the TOP TWO of ALL TIME, IN ALL GENRES WHO HAD GOD GIVEN GIFTS WERE KENNY HINSON AND ELVIS PRESLEY!!! No arguments, no discussions, no disputes. These are the TOP TWO, PERIOD!!!

  • @gfitzz28 You know in country music Vern Gosdin was called "the voice, If by some chace they were to nominate the voice for gospel music singer It would be ""

Kenny HINSON"" hands down He be the Best of all singers even if he has passed he"" was"" and still is and ""ALWAYS WILLBE THE BEST""!!!!! They named that family correctly when thety said they were the goup that GOD built.

  • @gfitzz28 Amen. But I have to disagree on the Elvis front. My two favorite gospel singers are Kenny Hinson and Sam Cooke in no particular order.

  • @gfitzz28

    You are spot on!!!

  • @gfitzz28 I disagree

  • @TheRealBudDickman disagree with what?? there's a lot said on here - lol

  • @gfitzz28 I'm just messing with you because you were so definite.

  • @gfitzz28 I personally think Kenny Hinson and Sam Cooke, but that is my opinion.

  • @gfitzz28 elvis presley is no compare to kenny hinson

  • @gfitzz28 elvis presley is no compare to kenny hinson he was not christian.

  • Kenny Hinson has that Merle Haggard sound back when the Hinsons first started out.

  • Vestal Goodman's niece also sang with them.

  • The only girls that EVER sang for any period of time with them were Chris Hawkins, (seen here) and Yyvonne Hinson-Johnson, (their sister). There were a few weeks that Larry's wife (Jana) went out and filled in with them. No niece of any Goodman EVER sang with them.

  • This is my one of my all time favorite Hinson songs, it really "shows off" Chris' unique soprano harmony voice. I think people must think she is related to Vestal Goodman, since Vestal's maiden name was Freeman. But, she is not, Chris' maiden name is Hawkins, she is married to Darrell Freeman.

  • As I recall it seems they changed female singers a few times while appearing on this show. I know it was the only venue that I saw this group and just remembered the changes bugged me. Thanks for taking the time to post

  • got this from wikipedia In 1974, Yvonne left the road and was replaced for nearly six years by two time Queen of Gospel Music recipient Chris Hawkins. In 1981 Just as sister Yvonne re-joined the group, Larry, one of the original members left the group and was replaced by nephew, Eric Hinson. Eric remained with the group until 1984. Ronny "Bo" Hinson Jr. joined the group in 1984 and remained with the group until they disbanded in 1988. Bo is now a part of "The New Hinsons"

  • good god i love the hinsons.

they were the best beyond the shadow of a doubt.
