  • Look at Hinckley, at 0:08 of the vid! He looks like he forgot to take his prune juice, for bowel regularity: and, you see that he, himself, has a PRUNE FACE!

"Smile, and the world smiles back" (is a derivation of an old saying).

"Look out through a prune-face, and the world looks at U the same way, Hinckley-dinkley-doc: the mouse ran up the clock." (The clock struck one, and the other got away with a big, pouting lower lip: his name was Hinckley!)

  • Smile through the prozac cloud and gay suicides. Smile while you hand over 10% to a racist, sexist and gay-phobic corporation posing as a church. Ugg!

  • @yofavcracka You have no idea who your dealing with!

  • Looks like you got slammed damn hard by cold hard facts ooooooooooooooooooooooo it's gotta hurt bbbbbbbaaaaaaaddddd can ya feel it!!! @yofavcracka (More like dumb craka)

  • @A1Goku Wow... You're far too angry to be a sane, normal individual. I'm moving on from this argument. Have a nice life. Btw, Trunks > Goku

  • I think he looks better as a corpse lololololo!!!

  • Love all the haters trying to make it sound bad that he is telling people to smile because life is good. What a bunch of losers.

  • What a wonderful man! He truely was a prophet, seer & revelator!

  • I freezed Hinckley's face, at 0:07, (7 seconds) into the video, and look at that face! He looks like a freaking Grinch! NO SMILE THERE!

It would help if that dunder-head had smiled, himself, to set a good example: instead of commanding others to smile, for him!

  • YES ...SMILE WHILE I LEAD YOU TO ETERNAL DAMNATION...SMILE WHILE YOU BLIND EACH OTHER WITH LIES AND FALSE TEACHINGS...SMILE WHILE YOU WORSHIP A MAN AND GIVE NO GLORY TO GOD...SMILE

  • @A1Goku Wow, you know nothing about the LDS religion to make a statement like that, lol

  • @yofavcracka -- NO! I know a tremendous amount about that deceptive filthy faith called mormonism...temple recomends (Provided you pay your tithes) & exalted status for mighty works & racism (If your skin isn't white you are a cursed individual) None of this CRAP! is in the Holy Bible and this is just the tip of the mormon iceberg!. You keep telling yourself that it's a christian faith while I laugh my ass off. Go to utlm dot org and learn something about your so called LDS faith.

  • @A1Goku Like I said, you still have no idea. You only know what your pastor/minister whatever has told you to enrage you with lies. If you ever have a serious question, go ask a Mormon. Screaming on youtube won't do a darn thing to support your "cause." Last I heard, the mormon church is in almost every country on the planet... which means.. most of its members aren't white. Sure sounds racist to me. It makes me laugh that temples = bible, tithing = bible. Hmm...

  • (Part 1) @yofavcracka Like Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, the second President of the Mormon Church, taught that "the curse will be removed" from off the Indians and "they will become 'a white and delightsome people.' " (Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, page 143)

While Brigham Young suppressed the 1831 revelation, there is evidence that he was familiar with its teaching that the Indians should be made white through intermarriage. William Hall said that just after the Mormons left Nauvoo,

  • (Part 2) Brigham Young gave a speech which "was in substance as follows":

"We are now going to the Lamanites, to whom we intend to be messengers of instruction. . . . We will show them that in consequence of their transgressions a curse has been inflicted upon them—in the darkness of their skins. We will have intermarriages with them, they marrying our young women, and we taking their young squaws to wife. By these means it is the will of the Lord that the curse of their color shall be removed

  • (Part 3) and they restored to their pristine beauty. . ." (The Abominations of Mormonism Exposed, Cincinnati, 1852, page 59)

That's your churchs history dumbass! sounds like racism to me numb nuts!

  • @A1Goku You ever wonder why you get so angry at a group of people that have done nothing to hurt anyone?

  • @yofavcracka Nope...what makes me wonder is how people like you are blind and can't see or refuse to acknowledge truth about their churchs origins or history and have happily stuck their head in the sand and your ignorance and pride shine through. Your an idiot!

  • @A1Goku *You're* lol.

You're so mad, its astounding. Blind rage. If you truly did your research instead of just blindly following what some people post on youtube, you'd learn that most true biblical scholars respect the book of mormon, even if they don't believe it.

  • @A1Goku "Mormons believe that Joseph Smith received golden plates from an angel on a hill, while we all know Moses received stone tablets from a burning bush on a mountain" - Stephen Colbert. lol best quote I've ever heard.

  • @yofavcracka -- Well Mr. Dumb and blind your LDS Bishop Earl Erskine (A Bishop with the LDS) realized after many many years that he was living a lie and refused to do so any more so he left the LDS faith and now is discovering the truth that was kept from him by your filthy LDS church and it's soul soliciting pigs, that man has courage and truth that you have yet to discover.

  • @A1Goku lol, and what "truth" is that?

  • @yofavcracka -- Amazing....absolutely amazing...this is like talking with a a complete moron ("YOU") dude your hopless.

  • @yofavcracka Episode 282- A Night with a Bishop

    Heart of the matter show

  • I remember being at the MTC, somehow I watched it there, it was the best ever... love pres Hinckley

  • @MegaDiarrhea Regardless of the fact, he makes a good point...you do look better when you're smiling.

  • Now that is scary! What a pathetic leader!

  • @mad4mtl the really funny thing is that the foul cankered old Hinckley could not even crack a smile of his own as he was dictating to the missionaries to do it. & why should they? they are being robbed of the best years of their lives when they should be building a carreer path instead of selling Joes pathetic BOM scam for LDS Inc.

  • @mad4mtl Smiling? The thing that would make Hinckley look better is a paper bag over his head !

  • Are you all watching the same video. What is wrong with smiling? Why do you have to post such awful comments. That doesn't make anyone smile.

  • Yes smile at investigators and sucker them into the cult.

  • Why don't you go SUCK SOME COCK

  • i dont want to argue with anyone, i just want to say that gordon b hinkley is amazing. he was such a sweet person and he set great examples for me

  • HAHA! this guys rotting in the ground

  • hey now, calm you're self. Like you would know anything about mormon's anyway's.

  • I don't know anything about Mormons ..... I use to be one so how do i know nothing about Mormons ???? Believe me i know the real truth about your prophets like your 30 wives (couple wives 14 and 15 years old) having criminal prophet Joseph Smith .... It is you that doesn't know the whole truth about Mormons pal

  • well with you claiming you were then you would know that all of that is'nt true. If we have 30 wife's then why is there only one mom in this house? You did'nt use to be mormon.

  • look at D+C 132 :62 62 ""And if he have ten virgins given unto him by this law, he cannot commit adultery, for they belong to him, and they are given unto him; therefore is he justified.""

are you joking me you really think he only had one wife????? See you know nothing about your own religion

  • Oh give me a break, you were Mormon for what, like 6 months? You think you know everything there is to know? Quit calling my prophet perverted, that pisses me off! You know HARDLY ANYTHING about the church!!! You're just so smart cause you know the "whole truth!" LOL! Give me a BREAK!!! HAHAHA!!!

  • And you DON'T know anything about mormons...you were one, for what, six months??? And you never paid attention to anything.

  • what carl do you have nothing to say????? ....

  • I'll say something.

So what if he didn't know that Joseph Smith had multiple wives, you're assuming that just being part of the Church automatically makes you a Church scholar. It's like saying just because you're from the US you must know everything there is to know about the US government and its history. I suggest that you actually dig deeper into the Scriptures and history and discover it for yourself rather than relying on people like the Taners who have an agenda to tear the Church down.

  • Well hes been part of the church his whole life and doesnt know that HUGE DETAIL ABOUT JOSEPH SMITH???? OH THATS RIGHT YOUR CHURCH HIDES WHAT HE DID LOL .... Well you can't hide D+C 132 :62 ...And if he have aten virgins given unto him by this law, he cannot commit adultery, for they belong to him, and they are given unto him; therefore is he justified.

  • We hid it huh? I think hid it in plain sight is what you really mean.

    Case in point:

*The 2008-2009 lesson manual Teachings of Presidents of the Church: *Joseph Smith, (2007), pages viixiii

Gracia N. Jones, My Great-Great-Grandmother, Emma Hale Smith, Ensign, Aug 1992, 30

*William G. Hartley, The Knight Family: Ever Faithful to the Prophet, Ensign, Jan 1989, 43

*D. Michael Quinn, The Newel K. Whitney Family, Ensign, Dec 1978, 42

  • *Davis Bitton, Great-Grandfathers Family, Ensign, Feb 1977, 48

*Jerry C. Roundy, The Greatness of Joseph Smith and His Remarkable Visions, New Era, Dec 1973, 7

*Dean Jessee, "Steadfastness and Patient Endurance: The Legacy of Edward Partridge," Ensign (Jun 1979): 41

Why would they try to hide the " Laws governing the plurality of wives..."? Don't you think that if the church felt threatened by some supposed contradiction in the Doctrine, then they'd get rid of it?

  • Plus I don't recall you saying anything to me other than ???. If that's what you call telling me something then....ok then.

  • curb still you never answered my question about D+C 132:62 virgins more than 10 wives?

  • What about it? Where exactly does it say something to the effect of "Under this law a man can only have ten wives. No more no less"?

And if I'm blind, then how come you're the one saying the Church hides evidence of Joseph's polygamy AFTER I gave you a list of references that actually talk about it? Odd you call me blind when you refuse to see the evidence before your very eyes.

  • And if he have ten "VIRGINS" given unto him by this law, he cannot commit adultery, for they belong to him, and they are given unto him; therefore is he justified.".....It says virgins not other mens wives ..... Well I know Mormons that have been going to church their whole lives and never had a clue that Joseph Smith was a polygamist ........ and yeah you're blind you said all i did was put down ??? marks .... and i obviously didn't

  • Now you're talking about adultery? Same thing all over again. You skip from one point to another. I guess I didn't know that you and Benjamin220 were the SAME person. I also recall you sending me several PMs to watch I replied. Several times.

Btw, I already knew he had that many wives well before I started researching Church history for myself. The info. is out there for anyone to see. I've already shown you the Church does not hide its history.

  • See you are completely SIDE STEPPED my question AGAIN come on are you really this stupid ......I'M ASKING YOU WHY JOSEPH SMITH DID NOT FOLLOW HIS OWN RULES TO POLYGAMY HE WAS ONLY SUPPOSE TO HAVE 10 WIVES AND THEY ALL HAD TO BE VIRGINS ....BUT INSTEAD HE HAD 30 WIVES AND MOST OF THEM STILL HAD HUSBANDS ....SO WHY DID HE GO AGAINST D+C 132:62 ....I'M WAITING TO HERE THE EXCUSES

  • So facts are excuses now? Perhaps only to someone who desperately wants the Church to be false.

You are the one assuming that the verse explicitly states that those engaging in polygamy can only have 10 wives. Why would he make a law, break it, and then leave it for the entire world to see? That makes absolutely no sense. You believe that he wrote the BoM as opposed to translating it like Church members believe. Don't you think that for someone smart enough to do that would be smart enough

  • to notice that little contradiction? Or for others to notice it?

The verse NEVER states that 10 is the limit. The previous verse explains the addition of a second wife. 62 merely extends that to 10. As I've said 10 is not a limit. I don't know why the number 10 is used exactly. A stand in for "however many are applicable" or just a larger number meant to illustrate a point. But not a set limit like you claim.

  • 'Btw, I already knew he had that many wives well'

Did you know he asked for other mens wives as well?

Did you know he married other mens wives a s well?

The info is out there yes, but its not the church who has willingly informed us of this.

I spent two years attending my local ward and not once was Smiths Polygamous celestial sex arangement ever told to me.

I was told ONLY about his wife EMMA.

    What a scam.

  • Well, Benjamin, if the church hides it, why is it in the Doctrine and Covenants? Not everyone knows everything about the church and our history like YOU do.

  • Church doesn't hide it RIIIIIIGHT .. yeah they just teach you everything else about Joseph smith but they don't tell you that he had 30 wives ..... You pay attention all the time at church and have been going for many years now and when i told you he had more than one wife you said No He only had only one .....

  • Benjamin, if you said that it's right there in D and C, then how would it be hidden? It's not like I've read and understood everything in the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. The only reason you do is because you found it on some fucking anti-mormon site. Please stop doing this to people, seriously, because you have no idea what it does to me. You're not telling them anything you believe. You just attack them out of nowhere. No one wants to listen when you do that.

  • some fucking anti-mormon site

    some fucking anti-mormon site

    some fucking anti-mormon site

    some fucking anti-mormon site

    some fucking anti-mormon site

You need to see the bishop at once.

  • Yeah, that's right, Mormons don't cuss. You FUCKING idiot.

  • Wow, 2 whole years huh? And I'm supposed to assume that you learned just about everything there is to know about the Church?

"...its not the church who has willingly informed us of this."

I would refer you to my earlier comment where I gave not one, not two, but SIX different references in Church publications that are read by and taught to MILLIONS w/i the Church. Perhaps the reason you didn't know is, not because they neglected to tell you, but because you simply didn't listen or read...

  • Again w/ the sex allegations. The supposed lustful motives driving polygamy. There is no proof that Joseph instituted this for sexual reasons. Accusing him would be like accusing those prophets in the Bible who also participated in polygamy, such as Abraham. Even Saint Augustine of Hippo acknowledges that polygamy occurred in the Old Testament in this quote: "It was lawful among the ancient fathers: whether it be lawful now also, I would not hastily pronounce."

If you look at the multiple

  • 'It was lawful among the ancient fathers: whether it be lawful now also'

What is lawful is not necessarilly moral and right .

Slavery was lawful in the same way and yet i don't see you defending that or eager to introduce it, though LDS Apostle Mark E Peterson did teach WHITE LDS members in a BYU lecture that BLACK church members would be SERVANTS in CK to the WHITE mormon Gods like himself.

  • The 2008-2009 lesson manual Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith, (2007), pages viixiii

If you actually looked back a couple of comments then you would've seen that it is taught in Sunday School manuals. Like I said before, perhaps the reason you didn't know is, not because they neglected to tell you, but because you simply didn't listen or read.

  • "What is lawful is not necessarilly moral and right."

This is true, but it was commanded by God, who is perfect, and not by man, who is imperfect.

2 Chronicles 13:21 But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters. He was described as a righteous man. If polygamy were an evil thing at all times of the Bible and throughout history, then how could Abijah be considered a righteous man?

  • Even Jacob had more than one wife. He married Rachel in Genesis 29:21-30, Bilhah in Genesis 30:3-4 who gave birth to Dan and Naphtali, then Zilpah who gives birth to Gad and Asher. Polygamy must only be brought forth when the Lord commands it. And only when the Lord commands it.

  • I have that manual and it does not list or speak about any of SMITHS polygamous wives.

On page xii it mentions he taught it and a number of such marraiges were performed during his lifetime.

Thats so vague and then it says the church no longer practices it and yet they practice a Spritual version in the Temples still today.

No mention of SMITHS multiple wives in any of the lessons.

Its same with the official church website about Joseph Smith. A Complete whitewash.

  • The Brigham Young Manual is even worse, they portray him as a monogomist! Brigham taught that monogomy is evil and vile.

The wilrford woodruff manual portrays him as a monogomist also.

The whole thing is a deception.

  • statements made by multiple people then you would know that sex was not a motivator. The institution of polygamy was already creating tensions so why would he push it even further than that? And why would he include others in this, why not just keep it as a singular duty of a prophet?

In my great x3 grandfather's autobiography, he writes of an experience that he had w/ the Prophet Joseph. Joseph Smith came to him and said that his sister (my great x3 aunt) would be one of his wives shortly

  • after this was revealed. He goes on to say: "Brother Joseph, this is all new to me; it may all be true--you know, but I do not. To my education it is all wrong, but I am going, with the help of the Lord to do just what you say, with this promise to you--that if ever I know you do this to degrade my sister I WILL KILL YOU, as the Lord lives." He looked at me, oh, so calmly, and said, "Brother Benjamin, you will never see that day...". (empasis added)

  • Since Church critics seem to enjoy using that quote by Mark Twain, I thought I would use a quote myself.

"Now nothing can be more idle, nothing more frivolous, than to imagine that this polygamy had anything to do with personal licentiousness. If Joseph Smith had proposed to the Latter-day Saints that they should live licentious lives, they would have rushed on him and probably anticipated their pious neighbors who presently shot him." - George Bernard Shaw.

  • Wow, 2 whole years huh?

Yes they wasted my time for two years by deceiving me and misleading me and actually it takes only a good hour or two to learn that Mormonism is a Fraud.

Smith was potrayed as a monogomist throughout my two years.

Its a fraud. If the church was really open as you suggest then they would have all this in its Sunday SChool manuals, but they don't.

  • cusrbside

How many publications of the church tell us that Joseph Smith married other mens wives?

  • No, I'm not a pretender, I just don't really care what they think and cussing is not going to get me into Hell. And if not taking bullshit from retards like you makes me mentally ill, then yes, I am mentally ill :)

  • Dude, if you really are a member of the Church then speak for yourself. Some of us cuss, but that is something that has to be worked out between those individuals and God.

  • Um, I speak for a lot of Mormons who are just too afraid of being judge by members of their congregation. And admit it, don't deny it...most Mormons are judgemental.

  • I agree, I live in Utah and a lot of Mormons here are judgemental and aren't too accepting of other faiths, makes me sad because we are taught to accept EVERYONE, *sigh*

  • Thank you! I agree 100%. But trust me, it's worse in Utah than anywhere else.

  • Ya I live in Cache Valley, we have a "bubble" here that really fights off anyone not of the LDS faith. About 70% of the people here are LDS, which isn't bad, cuz I am LDS, but if you're not LDS a lot, LOT of people shun you, and its sad. There are some great people here though reaching out to them, but for the most part, it just makes me sad the way some people think if you're not LDS I can't talk to you period...cuz I talk to anyone and everyone.

  • @dude8001

I go for the sacrament and when I hate the ward, that's all I go for. I don't THROW away my relationship with Christ just because I don't have a good one with members.

I can ill afford to go for 2-3 weeks without renewing that covenant.

  • @THELDSLIFE yeah I agree with you here. I only go to sacrament for that reason. And I don't feel like I'm throwing away my relationship with Christ that way either.

  • @pinklala14

I threw 3 years of my life away thinking like that.

  • @THELDSLIFE I don't know what you mean by this comment

  • and cubsidehighrocks all ready told you where you could find all of that info. Did you not read his comments??? But I guess that's not stuff that you can just look up on the internet. You would actually have to read church magazines and stuff, not the anti-mormon stuff...hmmm....

  • Oh and if god really did tell joseph smith to have plural wives it looks like Joseph Smith went over that number by about 20 Wives .... I Told you about this already about 3 months ago but you just sided stepped the question.......

  • Eheheheh.

  • No he's not. And you never even knew him. You just like to shoot your mouth off cuz ur a punk.

its probley a huge blessing in disquise..

and something he will never forget.

    I love that man!

    greatly missed

  • P.S. I checked, I recieved your reply to my comment exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes after I "registered" or whatever to comment. I hope we can both "SMILE".

  • I love it. What simple powerful advice. Thanks Seth.

  • It's not by Seth, but in1820!

    But Seth is awesome, too!

  • It's BY President Hinckley, but thank you both for your roles in spreading such an uplifting message.

  • Very Funny :-)

  • OOPS! Very, very new at this and confused. My very first & second comments on YouTube and I bring my usual "I only open my mouth to change feet" brilliance to the world of technology. I'm very sorry. It was such a great bit and I thought I'd make my first commenting stab at something which could not possibly be contriversial. Knee-jerk deffensive reaction and I'm there! Please forgive my stumbling. I'll step off the commenting court till I learn a little. You're pretty awesome yourself!

  • I hope you were smiling when you wrote that.

  • lol...wow...he must be famous for...smiling?

  • Yeah I guess you could say he was. He was famous for always smiling and being happy. He would always be laughing and telling a joke. He always urged everyone that life is about being happy. He would always give everyone a big smile and you knew that he loved and cared for you and those around you

  • smile a little bit!

smiling is a good thing to Mormons.
