@bharsen well the cam isn't gonna give much gains since he's running stock heads..and depends on what "mild cam" he's running..LT4 intake really has no performance gains/differences over the LT1 stocker, like that eldelbrock pos intake..and the CAI really doesnt do much..So really his only mods are the LT's and exhaust, which is also leaking..So in reality,a near stock LT1 ran a stock LS2 GTO's ass..LS people get a big ego too often.
@bharsen Well first off,idk who you're calling a kid..Secondly I own a built 96' LT1 TA so I'm pretty sure I know my shit..Yea a cam will make gains, but not the serious gains they can make when they have heads to go with em.Stock heads are designed to flow with the stock cam. And I didnt say a stock LT1 will hang with an LS2 car,but his car is nearly stock..Plus it's not that the GTO has an LS2,it's that the GTO weighs a shitload..Thats one of the main reasons an LT1 can take it.
Also, before you pretend to "know your shit" again please divert your attention tothe real world and use your google powers to look up just how many stock head, stock intake, "cam only" LTX/LSX cars are out there... running 9's and 10's no less
and if that wasn't insult to injury please look up just how underspeced the stock cam is on an LT1, and then look up the CFM on the stock heads (if you even know what that is) and you will see that the stock 2V OHV LT1 heads flow better than even Fords 4V DOHC heads of the given year... again, know what you are talking about before you speak to someone who knows more than you
Too many people think the LT1 is a pos motor. Little do most know with very cheap bolt ons it can become quite the powerhouse. Thats the trouble with LT1 motors, you dont know if you''re gonna have a mild fight on your hands or shaking your head asking yourself "what Da F**k just happened??" Gto are really freakin awesome though. My 95 Z28 went from 14.1 stock to 13.2 for under $1000 (no nos)
no, the bigger cam loves the higher RPM.... the car was completely worked with all of the bolt on's you could get... and all of the engine work... save for heads
I was suprised I hung that well for the amount of work into the car
the only way I could see me catching up is if the LT1 shifted into OD and crippled it's RPM band by dropping out of the RPM range of the cam specs and then I would catch up untill the RPM's started getting higher again
I don't think i'll ever understand why people build LT1's. This is just proof of how dated the motor really is for a practically bone stock GTO to keep up
because you can go a lot faster for a lot less money, plus they are a lot lighter than a GTO and most people feel the styling of LT1 Camaro's is a lot better than the new GTO's... the LT1 is a smaller and older engine than the GTO's 6.0L LS2 and it had a BAD exhaust leak which robs a ton of power... my LT1 beats LS2 and LS3 vettes as well as LS1 and LS2 GTO's all the time with just an affordable heads/cam combo,
nothing very radical and it's still a 5.7L with the stock bottom end, stock tb, intake and heads, auto tranny, stock 10 bolt, full weight, no nitrous... all for the price of a down payment on a vette or a gto
and an LS2 GTO with a CAI and a tune is good for about 440-450 HP, that LT1 was stock with 275 HP, it's not like that GTO was anything to laugh at, The LT1 beat up a 440+hp car without even having any head work done, just a mild cam ($250) and intake+full exhaust ($1000)...and that's with an exhaust leak which pretty much negates the benefits of the CAI and headers... so an LT1 with a cam and a catback beat a 440+ HP LS2 GTO
Yes, I am serious. If it only put down 346 to the wheels and it had a CAI and a TUNE like the video said then either something was wrong with it or it wasn't an LS2. LS2's even with an auto tranny put down equal and often more then 350 to the wheels bone stock.
let me put it simply... you are an idiot if you actually think a CAI and a tune will add 50 horsepower
and that's that....
the GTO is mine, it was DYNO tuned... I know people with LT headers that dyno less... learn you some cars before you say some more stuff that's comletely wrong
If you wanna see more videos check my home page, there you can see my pictures ect of the car and under the hood. If you send me a friend request just put From YouTube So I can keep track whos who. Thanks again.
More coming soon, Thanks to jasons good film ;) KUTOS

You obviously don't know much about Chevy small blocks if you want to go ahead and say a cam only car does not see real gains....
also, you are hilarious in thinking a stock LT1 car can hang with an LS2 car. Period.
Learn more about automobiles before you speak about them kid

I'm calling you a kid, because you obviously know nothing about an LT1 engine, or any chevy small block for that matter... again lol
A stock LT1 car is a low 14 second ride, high 13's if it's lucky. A stock LS2 GTO is a low 13 second ride, high 12's if it's lucky.
Now go ahead and ride your laughable pony that this LT1 car is nearly stock because my best in this car at it sits in this video is 12.7.

are you serious? this GTO only put down 346RWHP after the tune
as it sat it's best was 13.3 @ 104MPH.... the LT1 in the video is like a low 13 second car as it sits and could probably trap like 105-106MPH
once I got the mickeys on I went 12.7 @ 106MPH
