My school is under him through Shawn Hammond. My teacher gets loads of info and has got to spend time with him. he seems like a really amazing guy, and knows his sport well.

Yeah, and everyone who posted before me is Lloyd Irvin's friend and/or works for him. He is a great grappler and is an incredible talent. BJJ black belt in 3.5 years is a true acomplishment. However, he is a more talented promoter. Any MMA magazine you pick up, his ads are there. I wish he tried MMA, though. See how he can hold up in a fight with a real fighter.

He fought in Vale Tudo in Brazil. He fought MMA before it was big. He has one or two fights on YouTube, just not anything big.

Lloyd Irvin Sr. is greatly underappreciated.He is a truly incredible martial artist and leader who understands the difference between sport combatives and self defense,and more important? How interrelated they are.
