Android over came iphone in 2010 with better specs and hardware. Iphone wasnt top dog in 2007 either if u remember Sidekick and blackberry was the shit that year. So 2008 was the only yr in 2009 it was tied with motorola droid the iphone

Then again this video's kinda out of date now since we have phones from 3.5" to 4.3" and even Tablets like the Dell Streak which is definitely not pocket friendly although it's slightly marketed as a phone too.
