It's everyones fault. If homeowners didn't say they would pay for their house and then walk, prices would have stayed as is. It's the banks faults (mostly countrywide and AIG). It's the Governments fault mostly for forcing banks to lend to unqualified buyers they knew couldn't pay there loans, and allowing investors to buy homes with 0% down, if the government didn't force banks to make these loans in the first place we all would be doing much better.
