8th MS team is the only worthwhile Gundam show (but it is one of my favorite shows). I didn't really care for Evangelion though. I much prefer Rah-Xephon (which is my favorite anime...but the movie sucked).
Evangelion makes for really good AMVs though and I love Savatage.
thats because evangelion isn't about the mechs like the various gundam shows are, its about the people piloting them. the gundam shows can be fun to watch, but eva makes you think about things.... and the only gundam show worth watching as far as i'm concerned is 8th MS Team
I find Eva boaring, i dont like thinking about things, i like the mindless blowing up of shit and mechs beating the shit out of eachother really quick like. Now thats Entertainment

It's sad that Evangelion doesn't come on Television anymore...but I was lucky, the Blockbuster near me had every single episode of Evangelion, including the movies! Man I love this anime!
