I'm not sure, but i don't think that's what the Beatles had in mind. I don't know if yall know the story about George Harrison going to Haight-Ashbury. It actualy scared George, calling them "horrable spotty drop-out kids on drugs" he explaines it on The Beatles Anthology.
@jukka4president the hippies of the 60's are not the liberals of today because today liberals stand for big government and the hippies wanted small government. and even though i dont like big government, the liberals arnt fucking it up as much as the conservatives
I want to go back to the 60's and listen to the Beatles play live then go to woodstock and fuck one of those blonde flower power hippie chicks. That is my ultimate dream.
@nutbrown91 Exactly! Their great acid guru, Timothy Leary, was nothing but a cia-asset, a salesman who had to get everybody on the drugs the government already had made for them. Time we expose this big lie. Take it from an ex-hippie.
Every forty something years....a new culture arrives think about it. flappers in the 20's, hippies in the 60s. Hipsters now? Be prepared for the fun ride again!
Leary said, "Turn on, tune in, drop out". Turn on, tune in, Yes! but drop out? no! thats the problem even today. you must drop IN on the system! not run from it. take it over! get that University degree! what i just said would make the big shots in dull grey suits very nervous! they want you to drop out and be uneducated and easy to manipulate!
@stag40 Counter culture wasn't a generation, it is a name for any type of subculture that is opposed to mainstream culture. A generation is a group of people born at a certain time.
@stag40 in my opinion, they were the worst. think about it...out of any generation, they had it the best. they had nothing else to do so they decided to rebel. as a result, the hippies of the 60's became the liberals of today, fucking up the US as we speak
@jukka4president agreed, the generation before that BUSTED THEIR ASSES to give to us all what most of us take for granted. Freedom. And they where just plain spoiled with it and abused it.
where did you get the videos for this?
