A theory is an explantion of something, in which ALL of the facts and data point towards that explanation. As soon as any one fact or piece of data goes against that theory, it's no longer valid, and needs to be modified or discarded.
Scientist don't throw the term around loosely, and evolution is as close to fact as we will likely get. Creationism has NO evidence.

@bsktool I think you're misunderstanding what I was getting at. All science is agnostic as to God or Gods by definition. I don't mean that they can't believe in God, it's just that science is the study of the material world, and natural processes, and God just doesn't fit in there.
Could God or Gods have made the natural world to fool scientists? Of course that's possible. A god(s) is usually omnipotent and they can do whatever they want.

Crock#4 emerge under comparison with other genomes – e.g. say you compare the human genome with the chimp’s - simply do not exist until you assume the two have a common ancestor. If they don’t have a common ancestor, if they were created, then there’s no pattern to see.
This may not be clear to you from the way I’ve said it. You may have to sit down with a geneticist as I did and go through the process they go through in deriving PGT components. (See Crock#5)
