  • Buena musica vivan los beatles por siempre

  • The gun is warm because it just shot the 3 people who clicked dislike on this video.

  • I had forgotten how much I enjoy "Happiness is a Warm Gun". This has to be my favorite Beatles album, although I could live without Revolution 9 and Goodnight.

  • he did Luna...It's just John and Paul rejected most of them...lol ...that's why he came out with that triple album right after the breakup...some new stuff..but a lot of songs from the previous years with the Beatles..but I'm with you..would of been a better mix with more George...I Me Mine,.indeed

  • While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Blackbird, Helter Skelter, Revolution. Any artist would be happy to make one of these. The Beatles made all four... and put them on the same album!!!

  • May Harrison live in peace. With Lennon of course, but "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is such a great song.

  • "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" is a very nice song, written by George Harrison. His other song, "Here Comes The Sun" is great too. Miss him...

  • while my guitar gently weeps sounds like a demo quality version of the phish rendition

  • ion?

  • i knead to ges in state ious who ish? moses?

  • paul is the best

  • happiness is a warm gun makes me sob! john died from 5 gun shots to the back so i love the song but at the same time i cant stand ity because it makes me cry!!!!

  • Hahaha, I listened the album in 1990 and "Martha..." sounded like New Kids On The Block for me. ;P

  • Drumming isn't just about hitting your kit as fast as possible. Its about being the backbone of the song; its linking everything together. If you've ever bobbed your head to a Beatle's song, then you've proved Ringo as a good drummer.

  • My daughter is 15 and she loves the Beatles and the Mahavishnu Orchestra to name a few. I was 11 when i saw the Beatles live for the first time on Ed Sullivan, saw all the screaming girls and bought a guitar the next day.

  • all I can say is twas a wonderful time to be alive (60's/70's) musically speaking. You cannot imagine (all you young people) how simply wonderful it was to be exposed to all sorts of beautiful music. I don't think it will happen again for at least a hundred years. I cherish every moment. What memories, just incredible!!!!

  • @kdd3051 - those were the decades before the accountants got involved. The days when a label (eg Virgin) would risk signing up an unknown (eg Mike Oldfield) just because. Now, the music is dissected, judged by tick-boxes, tested against proven formulae, and only when it is within the narrow boundaries set by these musical accountants, will it be released to the general public. And that is perhaps why my 17 year old daughter and her friends are SO hooked on Beatles, Pink Floyd. Black Sabbath etc

  • Hey, Ringo wasnt the best but he completed the Beatles and isnt that all that really matters. Pete best was by far a better drummer but he was a dick and got kicked out. Everyone should just accept Ringo for who he was and move on. Harmony (and drugs) was on their minds while writing this album and I don’t think they would appreciate these hurtful words being said while listening to it. Please do all of urselves a favor; respect the music, mellow out, and enjoy the wonder that is the Beatles.

  • @ciaobella574 Was Pete Best really a better drummer though? George Martin told the Beatles that they could keep Best for their live performances but that he wasn't good enough for the studio sessions. And obviously he didn't have that problem with Ringo.

  • @ciaobella574 no Pete Best was a dear friend but George Martin saw that Ringo was the better drummer I have 5 Beatle biography books so I know how and what happened

  • @019freak9111 me too. john, george, and paul decided behind pete's back ringo was much more talented than pete so, they fired him.

  • @019freak9111 and did you ever read those books..?

  • @meesbroersen yes I've read each 7 times

  • Comment removed

  • Correct times

While My Guitar Gently Weeps: 0:00

Happiness Is A Warm Gun: 4:44

    Martha My Dear: 7:27

  • anyone who rags on ringo is a dope. just imagine neil peart playing the drums on this song. if you think that would sound good you should be deaf.

  • Note to self...don't read the ugly remarks posted by people when you are trying to enjoy the best music in the world......

  • i'm so exhausted trying to promote my band on warped tour,... Beatles gives me energy:-) no band better to be influenced by

  • The Beatles are simply the best band band of all time.. :)

  • they've been my favourite band ever since i can remember. apparently my dad used to play within you without you on vinyl to get me to go to sleep. so i'm 15...so they've been my favourite band for 15 years. they will never, ever, ever get old.

  • They've been my favorite band since I was 5. Go Beatles!

  • "i dont know how nobody told you how unfold your love" i can really relate to that

  • Great I can hear those wonderful songs on the internet. I can't carry my CDs everywhere so. Thanks buddy!

  • I have been a fan since they began , im 63 and still love there music

  • while my guitar gently weeps is the best song on the white album

  • You don't realize how vital McCartney's backup vocals are until you've heard this song without him.

  • who the fuck is this crank and who is he to talk down to one the most respected drummers in rock history!!!

  • wow, hardcore lowbudget-quality, but 4 the moment it was just easyer to find it on youtube than search for the LP-record and playing it on the turntable :-)

  • Ringo was a good drummer and was well respected while in in Rory Storms band. The Beatles wanted to snag him, and did

  • Many people have asked "What broke up The Beatles?" The answer I give is "Themselves!" These three songs (first from George, then John, and then Paul) are the answer to why The Beatles were so great, but also why they had to break up.

  • what else do you need

  • this version of while my gutair gently weeps sounds better than the love version

  • George is my favourite Beatle. Wish he did more songs for them...

  • @LunarEcli When the “Beatles” broke up George did some solos, but after that he started playing with the “Traveling Wilburys. In which he did pretty good at it. just saying.

  • @LunarEcli I wish he could still do more songs for the 2 (3 if he were alive) remaining Beatles.

  • @LunarEcli George did try to contribute more, they just didn't let him. His first solo album is considered his best becuase those were written to land a spot on a Beatles album.

  • LOS AMO!!!!

  • One of the best George Harrison's songs. This and "Here Comes the Sun"

  • @L1S91 WTF???what about blue jay way bitch

  • love the guitar tone @ 1:19

  • THEY ARE ETERNAL...ALWAYS...

  • for the second time the best song on a beatle album is a george harrison song. while my guitar gently weeps. first time was revolver with taxman.

  • @TheBabyboomkidof53 I agree with you about While my Guitar Gently Weeps, but I've gotta disagree about taxman being the best song on revolver. Elanor Rigby yes? Also she said, she said is an incredibly underrated beatles song

  • There goes my7 favorite song While My guitar gently weeps ad Happiness Is a warm gun

  • @Perryfan001 Nice choices

  • @flaminglovestick How dumb and insensitive.

  • @AliDDJV who cares ahahah

  • Comment removed

  • @flaminglovestick if it ever happens to you, I'm sure that with such a lovely character, and such empathy, nobody will care, for sure.

John sang for peace, love for one another, and you make a joke about the fact he's been killed by a loonie. I mean, the guy deserves some respect. Can you understand that ? Sensibility, sensitivity ? Oh, right. "Who cares",

  • ugh the best run of three songs on this album by far. perfect after perfect after perfect.

  • The Beatles will be remembered forever cause their the the best band ever

  • Magic...

  • Yeah, IN-YOUR-FACE rock, man. Greatest band

  • i hate to say this, but i do like joe anderson's cover of "Happiness" a bit better.

  • That's one thing you and I agree with, xxJesusFreak134xx! GH definately rocked!

  • i agree

  • Great but your links are a little off....

  • I have a soft spot for the very short instrumental before "while my guitar gently weeps" it's indescribable and amazing

  • george was soo amazing - so underrated

  • @skint0n0minted Nah, George wasnt underrated. Or any Beatle for that matter. George played a vital role in the greatest band ever assembled. He played lead guitar, remember? You can gear his bangin' guitar licks iin almost all Beatle songs, man. Awesome!

  • @ericdapugi but the spotlight was mainly always on john and paul. ringo was very overrated, he was rubbish

  • @skint0n0minted ringo was awesome, and who are you? a real nowhere man

  • @junipree I'm a amazing musician on a music revolution.Ringo was just lucky, he never wrote any good songs he was shit

  • @skint0n0minted Wow you're dellusional. "I'm a amazing musician on a music revolution"??? Learn grammar first.

  • @Xmenfan246 coming from the ponce who's never ever heard me play

  • @skint0n0minted do NOT diss the ring-dude. just because he didn't compose that many songs did NOT mean that a) his songs are shit, or b) that he is/was a crap drummer. just because you think that you personally are "a amazing musician on a music revolution" - whatever THAT means - it makes no difference whatsoever, it does not give you the right to judge ringo starr. without him, a hard day's night wouldn't have a name, and hello, goodbye wouldn't have a completely brilliant backing rhythm.

  • @glassoniongirl64 I can have an opinion and YOU can't do anything about that. He's the most boring drummer ever. Even Lennon said in an interview he wasn't exactly brilliant.

  • @skint0n0minted i'm not disputing your right to have an opinion. but your use of such hyperboles as "the most boring drummer ever" infuriates me no end. the only way you could know that he is the most boring drummer ever is if you had listened to every drummer who ever existed, and i highly doubt that. and if you think he's a crap songwriter, then take a risk of hurting your ears and listen to octopus' garden. i'm not saying he's completely amazing - but he is very good and that's what counts.

  • @glassoniongirl64 i have and it's a crap song

  • @skint0n0minted well, if that's your honest opinion, then there can be no helping you. i feel sorry for you, i really do.

  • @skint0n0minted im gonna rip out your moms eyeballs and skull fuck the shit out of her........if your that fucked up than maybe you got something

  • @garciahouse8 fuck of you yanks cunt! it's an opinion. deal with it.

  • @junipree sitting in his nowhere land, making all his nowhere plans for nobody! I love it :P

  • @Gyphia Oh. I meant out of Rubber Soul and Revolver. For me, it'd be a hard tie between Rubber Soul, and The White Album. To me the White Alubm is John's album. I feel like he owns it. "Dear Prudence","Happiness is a Warm Gun", "I'm So Tired", "The Continued Story of Bungalow Bill" are the greatest tracks on the album to me.

  • @Gyphia So I guess it's Revolver for you??

  • Ive needed a fix or two. Why did Mother Superior jump the gun?

  • Bach is better.

  • @Gyphia Woops!

  • still .... my guitar gently weeps,,,,,

  • Ok i just saw a Video were john said That the song happiness is a warm gun isnt about drugs, or a quote from a governer but he said He saw a gu magazine and the front page said Happiness is a warm gun and he thought iit was bizzare so he wrote about it. Dont belive me? serach: John lennon interview drugs the second video down he explains many of his songs

  • To set the record straight ive know many heroin addicts in my day and "Happiness is a warm gun" refers to the warm heroin soulution you cook up and the gun is a needle. Yoko and John were addicted to heroin so obviously thts what ths about. Ironicly enough he soon later came out with his song bout withdrawls "Cold Turkey"

  • well, I've heard this many times before, and all I can say is it's all well and good to say that, but the official statement was it was something he read in a paper.. a quote by a governor or something to that affect i believe. So you're not really setting the record straight as much as you're giving an interpretation... I mean, if you were John Lennon, then alright, but, as it stands you have no place to set any record straight besides you do heroin

  • @DJDROPBASS Did you jsut make thiks assumption or is it documented that that is where the meaning of the name is derived from?

  • Yoko pisses me off, what an intruder.

  • No shit. She's a no talent pop singer, if you want to call what she does "singing".

  • Thank You

    for all

  • great song

  • for Martha My Dear. Hold your head up you silly girl, Look what you doneeeee. when you find yourself in the thick it, help yourself to better what is all around you, silly girl. My favorite part! :)

  • lol I still think my earlier comment is true. It just doesnt refer to this song....that was my question in the first place.

But you cant deny beatle songs did not refer to buddhism at all.

  • 8:28

    great

take a good look around you...

  • amazingg<3

    beatles were musical geniuses

  • "Happiness" is what buddhists call...a state of mind,...Therefor a "warm gun"

Does this have any meaning to anyone?

  • I'd always heard that it was referring to heroine use. The warmness is from having "cooked" the heroine up and the gun is the hypodermic syringe. Around this time John and Yoko were experimenting with the drug and became addicted inspiring the song "Cold Turkey"later on describing the detox they had gone through.

  • I have to agree with you MrUnderdog1970!!!

  • And I agree with you agreeing with me!

  • I don't mean to disagree with you, but

John himself said it wasn't.... and I think he would have told us if it was :)

  • Yeah, It means you have no Idea of what your talking about.

  • the beatles literally waved their brilliance in your face.

    i love that.

  • im having having trouble bewteen revolver and rubbersoul which album is better.p.s. THE BEATLES RULE

  • @recordkid01 In my opinion( which is what I assume your asking) it's rubber solely based on the innovation of "tomorrow never knows". There was never a song like it before by them and it's definitely not like anything anyone else had done up to that point.

  • @recordkid01 Rubber Soul I would say. Though it is a very pop flavored album, every single song is great. Every song is catchy or melodically impressive.

  • @lifestraight rubber soul was the first entirely pot influenced album words of p mac

  • While my guitar gently weeps tops it off!

  • beatles and clapton!!!! can be better??? i dont think so

  • Martha my Dear...happiness is a Warm Gun...While my guiter gently weeps....so amazing. when i hear these tracks, not only does the guiter weep..but i do too. The baetles were amazing,

  • Indeed they were amazing Venomchicck.

Also helps to be able to play music on that level. Most people cannot.

  • still my guitar gently weeps

  • My next favorite track would be Revolution. I absolutely prefer the slow version to the more commercial fast record company single.

  • I dissagree, yet i rather love the original

  • Can you see all the little Piggies in their starched white shirts?

  • ''Look At You All''

  • The way this is segmented misses out one of the most obscenely brilliant cuts into a track of all time... Bungalow bill into the trill piano of While my guitar... Perfection. This band literally waved their brilliance in your face. Sometimes listening to them you just feel robbed by Chapman. RIP John and George.

  • @molbystwin ive never heard a better comment in all my days of watching shit on you tube mate beatles = ledgends+best of all time

  • Like how you put it, man. "waving their brilliance in your face". Way cool, bro. No other band comes close. Even in this day and age. Rock on Beatles!

  • White Album = Buddhism!!!!

  • Class 5Star Well Said my good man!

  • Is Paul singing with John during "Happiness"?

  • yip

  • My favorite track on the album - Happiness is a Warm Gun.

  • yea man too fokin Right!

  • I always find "Happiness is a Warm Gun" to be slightly disturbing, considering how John died...

  • yet a fabulous track

  • Of course. :)

  • happiness is a song about sex. not heroin. they weren't into that, just psychedelics.. and well coke and pot of course

  • traditionalists

  • and LSD

  • LSD is covered under Psychedelics SPACEORANGEPOD. You adding it is slightly redundant. I suppose maybe you were emphasizing it?

  • woah

  • what a tune a classic 05.30 is amazing mother superior jumped the gun lol

  • "a soap impression of his wife that he ate and donated to the national trust " ??? HUH ??? I heard that many of their lyrics were nonsense.. They just liked the way it sounded...

  • scene, i think you'll find.....but yes, they did.

  • is happiness is.... a song bout heroin?sounds like it to me.

  • or about sex?

  • or both?

  • you all have to remeber thT THESE GUYS WHERE THE ONES THAT SET THE SEAN FOR MOST OF THE OTHER BANDS AT THIS TIME

  • i laughed so hard reading this! it took me a few seconds to figure out that 'sean' was suposed to be 'scene!'

  • Same here. Haha.

  • LOVE(:

Gosh this is magic, pure magic. I almost tear up because of it's brilliance.

  • wow like everyone loves while my guitar gently weeps and i love it too

  • i know the solo is awsome one of the best. Clapton is great!

  • yes

  • While my guitar gently weeps and happiness is a warm gun = possibly the two best songs on the white album.

Martha my dear is also very good but never seems to get any recognition.

  • 100 per cent!

  • @blueeyedbella64 u know Martha my dear is about Paul dog Martha right

  • umm u kno julia is about johns DEAD MOTHER U ASS he loved her it took him 10 years just to write this

  • No I didn't know that. I'm sorry.

It's not a song good enough for a single though.

  • i think soo

  • julia is a great song about johns mother

    dont disrespect

  • CentraCross, i dont know why for while my guitar gently weeps, but for ob-la-di it was because john hated it!! haha. i love it though.

  • clapton did the guitar for while my guitar gently weeps

  • Really?

  • I llllooooveeee all three of these songs. Especially While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

  • While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one of my favorite songs. George Harrison was an amazing song writer.

    RIP John and George

    <3 Beatles
