See what happens when they don't have shoulders to drive down! Emergency Vehicle drivers have to do all this kind of stuff! Why don't they think of emergency vehicles when they make these damn roads? It's even worse on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn where there are no shoulders, and the lanes are also really narrow. So if the traffic is bumper to bumper there's no way anyone can get out of the way. Fire trucks and ambulances just have to sit in traffic and wait like all the other cars.
