  • That's great! Never seen anything like that before.

    //Dan

  • :o)

  • what exactly is that?

  • It's a 'Tanzglockenspiel' - see my comment above.

  • that was sweet

  • Thank you so much.

  • Amazingly beautiful. And all the time and effort you took to make it, thankyou.

  • Thanks. I am really happy that you all like it. It took 1 1/2 days to get it right, but it was more fun than strenuosly.

  • this is so cool-i love it!:) where do you get one of those and what is it called?

p.s. loved the pretty red shoes too! :)

  • Thanks :o)

In german it is called 'Tanzglockenspiel'. This one is located in Potsdam. On one of the pane was an adress which i looked up on google for you - you can buy this and lots of other funny toys on www(dot)spielgeraete-richter(dot)de But i am pretty shure that one can buy something like that all over the world.

  • thank you for taking the time to google for me. :)

p.s. i really like your pretty red shoes too:)

  • GOOD JOB, MP!

  • Thanks!

  • how did you make that... that was sick

  • You won't believe it :o)

First i made a test video to get the range of all notes of this instrument. Then i looked up the notes on my old piano and marked them with addhesive tape. After that i googled for pentatonic melodies that fit into this notes. I gave each note on the piano a number (because i'm kinda 'note analpabetic' - this little black dots are confusing me).

  • I took a great piece of paper, painted the instrument on it and gave each square the same number according to the piano. I also wrote down the little melodie in numbers. I also used a kind of letter-code for remembering the numbers but i think no one of you can follow me by now :o)

Finally i jumped forward and backwards on this big piece of paper in the living room, singing letters and numbers. This lookes a bit confusing i was told - but in the end, as you can see, it worked.

  • I forgot to mention that, while jumping around in the livingroom, i had my laptop in one hand (playing the melodie i had found on the internet) and the sheet of paper, filled with numbers and letters in the other one. Unfortunately we did not film that.

  • And (i promise this is my last post) did i mention that i'm a syaesthete? (ask google) This means that numbers and letters are colored for me even when they are written all in the same color. Sounds have colors too. So it came that each step i took had a color for the sound, one for the letter and one for the number. But that's ok for me - the only thing o find confusing are notes. Perhaps i cannot read them because they have no colors?

  • The marvels of the human brain. I know of people who "see" everything as a series of pictures, like a slide show. Now I find there are those who have (see) colors for letters, numbers and sounds.

  • "Seeing" things as a series of pictures might be synaesthesia, too.

  • This needs a feature,

  • That would be funny!

  • its so sweet of you to put this for that contest. i'm too full of myself to join the contest. LOL. I hope you win!

  • Everyone who joins this group is a winner. I would appreciate if you would join. Read the description, what it's all about an then ask your heart...

    CU

  • OOOO. What is that? I want one of those! That was very cute.

  • Foot-prints...? No - foot-sounds - in a beautiful kaleidoscope!

By the way: Maybe a way of learning dancing for dummies like me ;-)

  • Ok, next time you visit me, i will show you how to dance ;-)

  • Ok - but first of all make some tests with a Hoover vacuum cleaner or a lawn mower (including sounds) to be optimally prepared ;-)

  • That was really cool, we all loved it. Very sweet to seeing your face pop in to shot every now and then lol. Thankyou for sharing and for your support

    The Orbvious'
