Damn!! I rode this once when it first came out on vacation!! We in Chicago have the counterpart, Raging Bull at Six Flags Great America!! While ours has some near-sideways curves as opposed to all the hills and hops, I would love to trade rides for a day!! Just to do it again since I can't get out to the park!!

The ONLY reason why it didn't have loops was because it didn't have a shoulder harness. It had a "T" shape structure that pushes down on your legs. It's the only ride in America that does that which makes it quite unique. I ride this once a week since I live in Williamsburg.

When we were getting on the ride some old person came and sat with us o.e And in the row behind us, there was this blonde teenage guy screaming "CHICKEN AND WATERMELON WOOHOO APOLLO'S CHARIOT! CHICKEN AND WATERMELON OHH YEAH" It was so weird. And to make it weirder, the old man beside us was screaming like a 3 year old. o-o

@MMI22A Depends. Apollo's chariot has a chain lift which takes a while and storm runner just launches you in a couple of seconds. If you are scared of heights, AC might be scarier.

The first time i rode it, i was closing my eyes really hard, then we went down that little hill at the top, and i thought, "that wasn't that bad". then we went down the 200 foot drop and my gaurd was sorta let down. i don't make that mistake anymore.

Is this a intense coaster? I seem to get confused on what people define as "intense". Time and time again friends try to tell me nessie at BGW is more intense to them then apollo. I for one love nessie and have never thought of it as intense.. The first drop is a nice surprise though. I have not been able to ride this because nobody would get on with me. So what is everyone's thought on apollo? Is it what you call "intense"?

@MyNewPerspective1 You know nothing about coasters. You get air time on the hills on a roller coaster. Try riding in the very back seat of roller coasters. With the weight of the cars infront of you pulling you down the drops, your butt will lift out the seat on the drops.
