Not only do I/L Arch Mages have max ele amp, but also most get an ele wand which gives a further 25% damage increase. Then if you take in to account ice weak monsters, that make for a strong combination.

yes if they had amp maxed they would do 200% of dmg but the mp cost is very high and it's passive so it's always on :(

... im not sure what level you are but its obviously not very high... EVERY MAGE has Elemental amp maxed... the 200% MP cost is nothing compared to the +140% magic attack... and the mp cost only matters if your level 90 or something... otherwise you dont notice it... BTW

nope, genesis may have strongest base dmg, but blizz and meteo has a higher dmg because of element comp, so AM's outdmg bishes

actually genesis does the same as blizzards... if the i/l has elemental amplification, meteor though does more withought it. this misconception that bishes are better is only because skelegons and skelesaurs are weak towards holy while most training places are uncommonly used by other people. the places that arent commonly used are where ull find a f/p or i/l.

not dissing the other classes but at the 4th job bowmasters may not have to highest dmg but they deal the most dmg per minute, I know because I have bowmaster and I/L archmage, 136 both, took me 2 months per char, I had no life for those 2 months but I quit maple, just saying bowmasters end up with the fastest dmg but archmages have coolest looking attacks

To Aftab: There is a way not to get dispelled, but its very risky. Simply Stay on the top platforms. However, bombs that spawn there deal around 7.5-8k damage when they explode.

Lol, they REALLY did. The Demon skills, that is, Ice Demon and Fire Demon, make a monster elementally WEAK to the opposite element - I.E. When struck with Ice Demon, a monster becomes Fire weak. So if you have a fire summon, you get insane damage.

Once you reach 4th job, you are "sad because you have nothing more to learn." Alacaster then sends you on a quest to master your opposing element. Thus, you can use fire demon once quest completed ;) One of the 4th job skills let you attack monsters with your ICE DEMON making them weak to your IFRIT demon.

It's an ice pet because fire mages have a move that makes the mob EXTREMELY weak against ice. (The pet can freeze) Vise versa for ice mages. An attack that makes em EXTREMELY weak to fire pet not sure what it can do.
