@GilvaSunner Where do you get the info on which composer wrote what? I've always been curious to learn this on all the Zelda games that involved multiple composers but have never been able to find any reliable sources. For instance, the meta info on the Wind Waker soundtrack that I have only list Koji Kondo as composer on all tracks but I know that isn't true.
When I was in the Sky Keep version of the Mining Facility, there was this crazy surfing beat behind this past version of the song. And I can't find it anywhere! Help!
funny how robots existed in this game, which came first in the timeline, yet hyrule regressed backwards to a time when none of this existed, no robots, no machinery, nothing
i find it funny how people think going into the 'past' of the mining facility is weird b/c of its futuristic setting.
you have to remember that nintendo does not equal logic :) the 'past' being futuristic was a mindfuck for me, which is what i believe nintendo intended to do. from seeing a lot of your reactions, nintendo was successful :P
@inlovexanddeath It's completely logical. The technology worked in the past and the facility was fully functional, but after years of not using it and all that weathering, the facility became all old-looking. Because it was old.
But as shown Bokoblins from the past prior to Demise's imprisonment did not want to destroy the technology. Instead Demise's forces used the Technology for their own malevolent purposes and syphoned off Ancient Robot energy to power their weapons creating sentient machines of their own twisted design such as the infamous Beamos and Armos and the dreaded Sentrobes. I do not think Demise and Ghirahim caused Lanayru's Destruction. The Thunder Dragon dying was what caused it.
@jmario232 I don't think either one of those problems was what caused it to fall apart, because even after you save the Thunder Dragon, nothing changes. Lanaryu Desert used to be much more full of life, but because of natural ecological changes, it gradually turned to a desert, causing life there to become more difficult to sustain until it ultimately died out. In the end, the Thunder Dragon just left to go somewhere else. (But in general, plot holes are abundant when time travel gets involved.)
i just thought of something. what if the timestone showed the FUTURE! think about it, future lanaryu from TP looks like "past" Lanaryu from SS. a lake and grass around it. also since all of SS Hyrule is the past of TP hyrule, y wud lanaryu go from grassy, to a desert, then back to grassy?
@283leis Can't be or how do you explain all those old robots? I thought about that problem with water->desert->water too but wouldn'T make any sense... The time stones show the past, can't be the future^^"
Everyone praises this song and level, but this level is HELL. (This is coming from the person who beat Eggmanland from Sonic Unleashed, no problem.) The enemies were annoyingly hard, there was WAAAY to much backtracking, and the amount of times I died nearly drove me insane, and this repeatitive song just kept reminding me of it. God, I hate this level. -_-
@sageofdragons12 I didn't mind it really, the beamoses however defied the Zelda order, I wasted loads of bombs trying to kill them only to nearly get killed.... :(
@PurpleBunnyness I didn't think you could kill them, so I wasted alot of health and time trying to get around them, until I got pissed and did a horizontal slash when I realized, Yeah! You can kill them!"...FUUUU- But it was the flying Security bots that take the shit cake, though. God, I freaking hated those things... My hatred for them is only surpassed by the dugeon itself. (I love the game, BTW. I just hated this dungeon.)
@sageofdragons12 Actually, when they shoot you with the black things if you hit them with you're sword they'll go back and hit it. It only takes twice to kill them
@sageofdragons12 Haha, when I got the gust blower or whatever I ran back to the first room with them in and just killed them all, I was 'WOO, COME AT ME BRO'S!!!' the securaty bots were fine with me though but I did find the boss a pain to kill, partly cos I find jabbing hard on this game without him slashing all the time.
@PurpleBunnyness The security bots kept shooting their weird confetti missles at me. I was all like, "OMG JUST LEMME GO, I'M ONLY TRYING TO RESCUE A BROAD, STOP SHOOTING ME!!! <:'C" The boss on the other hand was pretty easy. At first, I just ran like the little coward I am, but then when I figured out the weaknes' was the eye, the fight lasted, what, five mintues or so? I had more trouble on Boss 1 than that thing! I guess some things are more difficult for some than others. XD
This is my favorite dungeon in the whole game. It had the best music, too, in my opinion. This track is GORGEOUS. It really reminds me of Majora's Mask because it's spooky, playful, and almost tragic in a way. When I first entered the dungeon, I stopped in my tracks to listen to the music.
For some reason.........This song reminds me of all of the other Dungeon in the Zelda Series that have ancient Traps like Beamos and Armos. Were they around that whole time? o_O.
my favorite zelda temple. period. the mobile timeshifting mechanics are ingenious, the music is unsettling and incredible, the entire concept of an abandoned mining facility is the perfect stage for creative level mechanics, and this game flaunts them flawlessly.
Now this is a Traditional Dungeon. Has Traps, Puzzles, but a mediocre boss. But this boss blows alot of other bosses out of the water in Difficulty. Dam scorpion got a few cheap shots on me when I blew it out of the sand >:|
It's several tracks buried within this new remix. The Spirit Temple, an ominous sound, an electronic organ, and maybe...more since someone hit the timeshift stone?!
i love how after you beat the boss and jump into the mining cart and you see those cute robots (robot statues) saluting you. i found my self saluting back.
I love the past-present aspect of this temple! More what I love though is how the music fades in and out as you travel between times. It adds a mysterious effect...
Why does a fully functional factory exist in the PAST? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Ah well does not change the fact that I really liked this factory level. Very fun with the whole timeshifting and machinery.
@jmario232 An plus, in the game, you need to get to the past to meet zelda....sooooooooooooooo....why dont grab a large timeshift stone and carry it to the sealed grounds to meet zelda! :C
@jmario232 Its believable, before demise arose the first time around the world was prosperous, full of life etc and then demise came along and i guess it was the equivalent of the meteor that killed that dinosaurs and all their factories and spaceships.
@jmario232 Did you ever notice that some of the most advanced civilizations were extinct a couple of thousand years ago? Example: the Egyptians. They discovered some brilliant, useful things we still use today, they could calculate the time with tools that are still used today! And yet they are extinct, which means some of the civilizations in the past were more advanced than some actual civilizations.
@GanonAkumaFan Advanced as in more knowledge of the usage of limited tools. However, looking at the increase of economic and technologic possibilities, we are more advanced.
It all depends on how you look at it.
But of course, earlier civilizations HAVE made it possible for us to "improve" our way of living ( as far as improving our lives goes ).
@jmario232 that means there was advanced civilisations in hyrule well before SS time adn that civilisation must have been destroyed, hence back to more primitive times.
@jmario232 i think that they are trying to show how Girahim and his evil doings have destroyed technology over time. such as all of the bokoblins and moblins and such were created by girahim. so i think that they are trying to show the destruction of technology
Ok. I have nothing against this game. It's really great. The best Zelda game. But don't you think it is a bit incoherent that you know, Zelda is a game in medieval times. Skyward sword is the very first of all the Zelda's, so it's old. And when you strike a time stone, it's even MORE old. It just seems odd that the past of the past of the past is sooooooo futuristic... (surveillance drones, come on!) But I love this game. Really do.
@YAM466 Progression in time doesn't always guarantee progression for technology and society. Best real life example is the Dark Ages, if you have heard about that time period setting us back significantly in the field of science and other areas.
Another good example is those tales of post-apocolyptic worlds containing lost technology.
One of the Most Amazing Soundtracks ever Composed for any Game EVER
... oh dear... I'll get so much hate for this
To Anyone who reads this: I mean no offense or want to start a flamewar. It's just this game had lots of things I didn't like, and very few I did like... and I've been playing for 15 years these games... but everyone's opinion counts. I'm cool if I'm the only crazy girl in the world who was dissapointed by this game.
@TrapnestShinigami No, I understand where you're coming from. There are a few parts I really loved (i.e. the mining facility was a brilliant dungeon imo <3), but also many aspects which were just tedious... especially how it reused the same areas over and over again. *glares in the general direction of Eldin Volcano*
I didn't really like the controls, specially fighting those guys with electric swords... Link had like a half a second delay with the sword that made it so anoying. The sky is filled with... rocks, and 2 islands. And I felt is so linear... I never had that feeling that I love of "Dunno where to go now, I must explore" mmm the Zero Punctuation video of this game speaks for me. Oh and, fuck that Blue dragon for making me collect the notes of the final part of the piece D:
@unmagicalwizard it would have been soo epic if there were like a snow land in this game but not like the one in tp but bigger and more content and i agree with the fact it keep reusing the same places over again, but u know wat really pissed me of!!!!!!! was the fact that there was only 6 temples in this game n the last one doesn't count cause its a mixture of all 6 temples!!! it was cool but lets be a little more creative lol
@TrapnestShinigami do you not understand the story or something? it was actually really interesting for me and i understood a lot of it. :\ and the controls were almost perfect. the only thing i had a problem with is the stab attack.
It was really interesting for you... and that's ok with me D:
As I said... I don't want to begin a flamewar here, I'm just stating what I didn't like about it, but again, it's what I didn't like, not your experience.
@DarkMarc9001 I learned that if you gently thrust forward the Wii remote, the stab attack always works. Before, I would always find myself quickly (violently) stabbing with the Wii remote and I'd rarely land the attack.
Item I thought I was going to get In Lanayru Mining Facilty: Dominion rod. I thought Armos was those statues from TP that you had to move with Dominion rod. I kinda hate the gust bellows -.-
I thought the Arachas were so cute, I couldn't kill them (with my sword). Instead I found a pleasure in blowing them off the edge with Bellows. They'll survive...somehow...
@MrDarksword123 WHAT? In my opinion this was one of the better dungeons and a large step up from the first two dungeons. Great music too however I was disapointed by the extremely easy boss. I liked how all the dungeons/mini dungeons had fun aspects in them so when ever I replay I dont say "oh great, this level".
@popcornmatt3 just my opinion really, getting to the level was a lot more fun I thought. The level itself was kinda, idk, boring in my opinion, and a little long with all those damn beamos statues, those things really got on my nerves
It's funny how my sister like this temple; I couldn't stand it! IT put me into fits of rage. In fact the only temple i've ever played in a zelda game that was more frustrating than this one was the penultimate temple in Oracle of Seasons where the poes blow the torches out and make you start at the beggining again!
@CheeseMakesMeWiggle Hey do sound adorable and look that way too. They are just so cute. Its like putting a Pickachu in a basket with flowers around it. :D <3 thats how cute they are. :)
Oh man. Am I the only one that though the second half of this dungeon was pure genius?

Really do.
YAM466 1 month ago
@YAM466 Progression in time doesn't always guarantee progression for technology and society. Best real life example is the Dark Ages, if you have heard about that time period setting us back significantly in the field of science and other areas.
Another good example is those tales of post-apocolyptic worlds containing lost technology.
MasterSB988 1 month ago
@YAM466
The Zelda universe keeps getting its technology knocked back by wars and disasters, I guess.
The Zelda game that's farthest in the future( many thousands of years after Skyward Sword), Spirit Tracks, barely has steam-powered trains.

What I love when playing new zelda games is feeling like I'm the only one playing it. Then I come here and realize that a few other people played it.

Mediocre Game
Horrible Controls
Lame and Boring Story

*glares in the general direction of Eldin Volcano*
unmagicalwizard 1 month ago
@unmagicalwizard
TrapnestShinigami 1 month ago
@unmagicalwizard it would have been soo epic if there were like a snow land in this game but not like the one in tp but bigger and more content and i agree with the fact it keep reusing the same places over again, but u know wat really pissed me of!!!!!!! was the fact that there was only 6 temples in this game n the last one doesn't count cause its a mixture of all 6 temples!!! it was cool but lets be a little more creative lol
GodzonFire90 1 month ago
@TrapnestShinigami do you not understand the story or something? it was actually really interesting for me and i understood a lot of it. :\ and the controls were almost perfect. the only thing i had a problem with is the stab attack.

@LlamasInYourCloset
It was really interesting for you... and that's ok with me D:
As I said... I don't want to begin a flamewar here, I'm just stating what I didn't like about it, but again, it's what I didn't like, not your experience.

I'm not the most accurate person when it comes to stabbing with the sword. I'm usually stressed by the situation of the battle.
Beamos Weakness - Stab in the eye
Armos Weakness - Stab one of 2 crystals
Moldarach Weakness - Stab the one eye left
...
DarkMarc9001 1 month ago
@DarkMarc9001 Stabbing is easy. Directional slashes are hard. I can spend 5 minutes fighting a Deku Baba.
WalkthroughLover1 1 month ago 5
@DarkMarc9001 I learned that if you gently thrust forward the Wii remote, the stab attack always works. Before, I would always find myself quickly (violently) stabbing with the Wii remote and I'd rarely land the attack.

I knew what kind of creature the boss was going to be the moment I read Fi's description of those little spider things.
Fi: "They can live thousands of years and never stop growing"
Me: "yep that's going to be the boss..."

I thought the Arachas were so cute, I couldn't kill them (with my sword). Instead I found a pleasure in blowing them off the edge with Bellows. They'll survive...somehow...

@MrDarksword123 Lots of puzzles? It's a dungeon... >_<
TronPachioftheDynamo 1 month ago
@MrDarksword123 WHAT? In my opinion this was one of the better dungeons and a large step up from the first two dungeons. Great music too however I was disapointed by the extremely easy boss. I liked how all the dungeons/mini dungeons had fun aspects in them so when ever I replay I dont say "oh great, this level".
popcornmatt3 1 month ago
@popcornmatt3 just my opinion really, getting to the level was a lot more fun I thought. The level itself was kinda, idk, boring in my opinion, and a little long with all those damn beamos statues, those things really got on my nerves

It's funny how my sister like this temple; I couldn't stand it! IT put me into fits of rage. In fact the only temple i've ever played in a zelda game that was more frustrating than this one was the penultimate temple in Oracle of Seasons where the poes blow the torches out and make you start at the beggining again!
