Hi I got heat damage from a salon in California. It was my first time getting my hair straighten in while being natural. I was so upset I wanted to cry. I co washed my hair everyday since and my hair has started to revert and back full again. I had straight pieces throughtout my hair which I cut and my hair has started to grow back.... Thank you for sharing your journey.
Hey. I have heat damage in the same places (plus a little on left side). I see you are 8 months in before cutting....what styles did you wear during? Should I get braids?
i went t0 a salon to get my straightened hoping that would be safer and i ended up with so much heat damage that i was about to cry and the guy acted like he didn't know what was wrong and didn't even offer me my money back i am so up set, and i did this for my anniversary of my big chop, what a present i guess this will be big chop #2
@alleymo1 Unfortunately I had to because I was tired of seeing it......but I had to wait until it grew out abit .....thank goodness it did not look silly.
I noticed the front n back of my hair looks the same way. I thought my hair was just like that. Last night I came to a conclusion that it might still be perm but I HIGHLY doubt it. I'm APL now n I'll prolly cut it off sumtime in the future. Don't wana cut off wut I grew n mess my layered haircut anyway.
I'm glad the conditioner works well for you. I like KBB products, I've just never tried her conditioners before. I bet you felt so much better after cutting off those pesky heat damaged parts.
@vivacious1083 It's pretty good...does live up to the hype. They were pesky indeed just the bain of my hair's existence.....so happy they are gone.....and I snipe some more after too.
Looking good. I know your styles are going to be even more gorgeous since you cut the heat damage. The short pieces dont even look weird at all. They kind of look like bangs.
Congrats on cutting off the damaged ends! Your hair has always looked fabulous, but it's going to style even better now. Once my hair grows out a little more I'll be doing the same mini chop. By the way, very cute smocked dress. :)
@Loica12 I bought the 8oz, came in two 4oz containers so that was one of them that I showed. Anyway a little goes a long way, I love it , it does it's job better than most that I've tried - and I've tried quite a bit (lol) - this could last me a couple of months, usiing it interchangeably.
Congratulations on cutting off the heat damaged ends. I'm going through the same thing, expect I'm going to cut off all my hair and start from scratch. The heat damage is only at the front of my head... I think it will be best for me to start fresh again and love my hair the way I use to. So thank you again for sharing this video, it's truly inspiring. You're hair still look beautiful and bountiful. Take care sis.
WHOOO!!! Congrats on cutting the damage off. Your hair looked happier instantly, lol. I'm glad you liked that hair mask too. Btw, where did you get the green towel wrap? That looks so convenient to me. I need convenience in my life right now, lol.
@Goddess298 Thank you.....did it not seem like my hair was thanking me immediately? I was so tired of being annoyed by it girl, had to go. I got the wrap at Bed Bath and Beyond they were 2 in a pack, however I've seen them at dollar stores lately for much cheaper than I got mine......conveinience is key for me too (lol)
my hair is the same way, im almost a year natural in two months and i had to cut some of my hard work off :(
