Ok every body that calls u a fag is well just a ****** up person ...and how did your parents take that coming out thing. Literaly if I tell my parents I'm sure to ind up in a body bag.
@2drunk2drive101 Sad for you, happy for me. =P It's actually annoying how I'm not attracted to feminine gay guys therefore when I see a hot guy, I can't make a move cause I dunno if he's gay or not =(
wow, the first story you talked about sounded exactly like the first time I came out. my openly lesbian friend just randomly asked me, and I decided to actually be honest and tell her I'm bi. her response? "that's awesome." :)
@narciss19 HA!!! Brilliant stuff pal......I'm quite sure that if anyone in the world knows this person is gay, it is him. Not you, a person who has never met him.
@DaNacker497 Your comment that all the hot ones are gay is completely false. So I said "Except they're not", meaning: "Actually not all hot guys are gay".
i too succumbed to coming out on facebook, by the way agayaday, are you comfortable actually using this video, you seem to pause in your video a few times, and you sound like you have a dry throat. uhm, i guess just goodluck but i'm sure coming out isn't easy for anybody, hell it wasn't easy for me.
I told my best friend I was gay and he just kept telling me that I hadn't found the right girl. Later he also became very paranoid that I tried to have sex with him when I stayed the night at his house. I had liked him, but I never tried to do anything to him. It became so toxic for me that I had to end our friendship.
I told my borther and best friend (who happens to be a guy) at the same time, and i thought they would freak out but they didnt really care. It's a big relief, and felt good getting it off my chest. But also one of the hardest things i ever had to do. Now im glad that I told them. I havent told anyone else yet, it was only 2 days ago. I wish everyone else knew, because telling them is the hardest part.
It was never really my decision to come out. The gay boy I trusted ended up telling everyone in school and by the end of the day, everyone knew. Luckily it ended up being a great experience for me, save for the fact that the gay boy I told ended up sleeping with my boyfriend several months later.
honestly, what i have learned in my 33 years of being a gay guy, is that 99 procent of the people that allready like you at the point when you tell them you are gay, really dont give a shit.
just dont make being gay an idenity. Yes i am gay, but i am also a guy who goes way to much up in computers, hold a regular job, and who dont worship everything gay.
so what i am saying which i learned, be proud of being gay, and deliever the message as an information, not something that need fixing.
@tomhp1 Indeed, A good example of someone, in the media, at least, who's gay but doesn't make a meal of it is Officer John Cooper from TNT Drama Southland.
Yeah you wish you could go down!!... okay even I'm ashamed of that one : )
My experience was actually pretty similar to yours. I came out to a few of my friends who I'd talked about it with before, then I decided to "come out on Facebook", but no one really said anything about it. I've come out to a few more people since then, including my parents and aunt, who were pretty cool. None of them are gung-ho about it, but they're all understanding and love and accept me.
The way i see it is that straight people dont go round saying "hey, im straight" and you dont normally get couples going round saying "hey, were going out" so why say "hey, im gay". People dont always need to be told and most of your friends will probably know. One of the advantages is that its a self recognising thing and your accepting your sexuality, also other gay people will know and you feel you are being honest with people
I want to come out to my friends and stuff but I'm scared that they won't accept me. I mean I see how they treat other gay people and I don't want to be that person always getting put down. When you sort of came out did it feel any different from being in the closet playing it safe?
You know what? I don't understand this rush for people to come out. I am 26 and only started coming out to my closest friends when I was 20 and only in the past year have told my parents and other family members. Only you know when it's the right time and no one can tell you when to come out or who to do it to. Timing is everything and coming from someone who used to think that I would take this to the grave, you will know when it's right. Good luck to those of you to still experience this. :)
in general, I am now thinking you handled this pretty well...you laid it out there, it's not a big deal and not the defining point of your like, it is only one part of who you are.
There's no reason for me ever to have watched this since I've heard this story on your personal channel. Oh, well.
I did the same thing as you, only I changed mine on MySpace because at age 14, I was too juvenile for FaceBook.
I don't know if I think that the process of coming out is silly, but I don't talk about it unless someone else brings it up. It's not a part of my personality. It's just me. If people need to know, I'll tell them, you know?
I am sad that you didnt say "make good choices, stay in school, dont do drugs." I missed it too.
I am very very very thankful for you guys sharing this week. its been a struggle for me all of my life. I have thought about calling my parents all week and changing my facebook. being at college and watching you guys has really helped me be more conferable.

If someone "asks you" if your Gay, they have already decided you are, they just want to confirm it.

There should be a world where we assume everyone is gay and straight people have to come out. That'd be interesting.
