Since you didn't have any comments on this one, i figured i'd help you out. Event Horizon is definitely one of the most underrated horror movies ever, it creeped me the fuck out, and that pretty much never happens. 99% of modern horror movies=stupid hot girls+terrible half-assed plot+a couple buckets of red paint. This movie actually had originality and genuine suspense. Btw, the black mechanic/rescue guy is my favorite character lol, he's funny as fuck

I disagree with you however
the movie is about an extra-materialistic consciousness piercing through our facade of reality
all of which is not only plausible, but inevitable according to current science
there is no cogent argument against something like an Event Horizon event taking place
any faux argument would lay wholly on the faith of Materialism to make it viable at first glance
