Grade B, which has THE FLAVOR, is the real grade A. Rich, viscous, dark, real flavor. 'Grade A' by convention, is weak flavored. Not what I want, just doesn't feel right to the body. How could this mix up happen? Do some people just want flavorless / nutrient weak sugar syrup?
I've always wanted to watch how maple syrup is made. Best taste in the world !!! Nothing better than some vanilla ice cream and some maple syrup poured over top...MMM MMM !! I even add it to my Frosted Mini Wheats.
@roborexasaurus Spring actually, but if i was you id go vist some local syrup guys, they give you the best advice on specific week to tap, hope this helps!
Nice video. I have a few hundred sugar maples on my property where I live in the hills of western Massachusetts, and I tapped just five 2 days ago. I already have over 10 gallons of sap that I plan on boiling in lobster pots over a campfire tomorrow. I'm seriously considering building a little sugar shack and buying an evaporator.
That is an unsettling noise at 8:10

We are going to try this. We have a lot of maple trees. Do we have to do this during the winter?
roborexasaurus 2 years ago
it will be better because the tree`s sap will freeze and preshere in the tree will come out

Before bottling the syrup you should always check your syrup to see if you have a high concentration of sap or if you actually have syrup.

Just like a documentary, and without all the unnecessary dialogue.
That was very interesting. Thanks for sharing!
