  • Great Scenes, Make You Remember but only Great Actors make the scene "Great"

  • lol this sum bullshit nigga, white and black and gay ass talking n shit. give me som transformers instead anyday

  • i came

  • "Heres looking at you kid" Im afraid I dont understand this, anyone care to explain ?

  • this movie was awesome. you don't see this style of writing in the industry anymore. this is when movies had class.

lol its funny too, i just got done watching a Looney Tunes spin off of this.

  • What does this line mean?

  • @xaxie1 well, it's similar to the phrase "Here's to Marco Polo and his adventures" when someone takes a toast while drinking. in this movie, Bogart loved staring at Bergman so he says "Here's looking at you kid." sort of like a cheers similar to drinking. also, bogart has played a lot of gangster roles in movies so his speech wasn't always accurate. i think it makes the quote that more unique.

  • @cyberwaffles wait a minute,i forgot he also says it while they are drinking earlier in the movie.

  • how did i get from annoying orange to this?............

  • This actually was not in the script. It was an inside reference between the two actors, which is why her reaction is so real. She didn't know he was going to say it to her, and in the context of the scene, it made it all the more powerful.

  • happy birthday Humphrey Bogart

  • great movie.

but this is the no1 line? wtf?

  • What dose that mean?

  • What does it actually mean though?? :S :S

  • LIKE A Bo55!

  • I always wondered what the heck that even meant.

  • @Nine00 At first, there's a part when they're making a toast and he says it, referring the fact he's toasting because he has the pleasure of looking at her at that moment. In the end, he reminds her the line to let her know he's right there, and to save that moment in time.

  • WE SELL STUFF FROM THIS FILM " IF YOU WANT TO BUY SOME THING EMAIL US AT : JONES247007@GMAIL.COM

  • What dose that mean??

  • Heres lookin at your dead kids. They shouldnt of fucked around in Casablanca. Little arab bastards.

  • The sound on this clip is way too loud.

  • Here's lookin at u kid

  • @MrKempy85 what does that line mean?

  • @channelforchannelers "Here's looking at you, kid" is something Humphrey Bogart said to Ingrid Bergman between takes while he was teaching her to play poker. It doesn't actually mean anything.

  • Must... Not...... Cry..........

  • gonnacry.

  • I haven't seen the movie and I have no idea what the fuck that line means.

  • @kick52 I HAVE seen the movie and I STILL don't know what it means :/

  • @kick52 THEN GO AND GET THE DVD!!!!

  • The scene in Blood Diamond where Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Connelly part ways and say goodbye to each other is very reminiscent of this scene, and how ironically, they both take place in Africa.

  • "Here's looking at you, kid." Little known fact, Humphrey Bogart ad libbed that line.

  • @ComedyBlues5200 Doesn't surprise me. Jack Nicholson ad libbed "Here's Johnny" in "The Shining"--another great movie moment. Quite a few have been, actually.

  • nothin like the good old school movies!!

  • These were the first and last words my father said to my mother before he died. Aged 26 and 55. RIP

  • Wow... has anyone here heard the Gaslight Anthem song of the same name, 'cause, man... wow.

  • @shadaliciousbaby My favourite band too man. Definitely top of the top five... punk meets soul meets rock 'n' roll... needst I say any more?

  • @emthedrummer ha, i knew about that before i knew about the film. they also have a song called I Coulda Been a Contender

  • @emthedrummer HUGE gaslight fan and its one of my favorite songs. Gets me every time.

  • @pachuca326 If you are a huge Gaslight fan then you are automatically my friend. :D

  • @emthedrummer fuck you. Casablanca is infinitley greater than whatever the fuck you're talking about

  • @griftersband Alright, relax :')

  • I don't cry often but just watching this single half a minute from a movie so perfect has gotten me teary eyed

  • here's looking at you, gold.

  • I think No one know what "Here's looking at you, kid" means.

  • @masterlee123

Clint Eastwood would have said: "Do you feel lucky, punk? Well do ya?" - and then shot her.

  • Its a great line, but I have to ask... grammatically what does "Here's looking at you" mean?

  • @Ghlan It's like raising a glass to all the times you could have had... that's my personal spin on it anyway lol

  • @Ghlan It's a toast to being with her and the joy he gets from looking at her. He dropped out the "to" as in "here's to looking at you kid" because he's Humphrey Bogart and he's too cynical to say that many words at once.

  • Actually, this line was accidentally added in when the actor flubbed his line.

  • I just downloaded this mp3 at mp3iffy. Check that site out - its sick. Google mp3iffy

  • you know, I never wanted to look stupid... but what the hell does "Here's looking at you kid" mean.

I always thought it was he or we're. but here's?

  • I think it basically means like god bless you or good luck, in that sort of sense. But I could be wrong.

  • @bryanf312 There's not But about it; you're WRONG!!! JK LOL

    Cruzazul explained it

  • cause shes hot .

  • lol. he's lookin at you kid. creepy..

  • @JeffZHigs1 Here's lookin at you kid.

  • @Ghostdog15 It started with him toasting to her at a bar. Then he says it about 20 times throughout the rest of the movie.

  • @Asylum0 That was only like the 3rd time he said that in the movie...and this is the end of the movie lol!

  • @Ghostdog15 You say "here's" when you are makinga toast to something. So he's basically saying "For the pleasure of looking at you"

  • i do'nt know why this line "here's looking at you kid " stuck in my mind all these years

  • @nicoleayanna cause its absolutely perfect

  • Fantastic.

    I cried.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Classic
