It has something to do with reflection property of glass and the ink used

The grooves on the dice are deep, and are colored on the inside top and blank on the inside bottom.

This trick looks good on video but angles are impossible and I would not recommend it for real performance purposes. Interesting concept but not practical.

showed me the illusion... what a lovely and beautiful trick...

And as I said... is easier than you think, that's the reason you can't

find how it's done, because is so "basic" that it doesn't "fit" in your head =)!
