i remember when my sister and i would dance off of this song when my parents had company!. it was cute when we were little. the pony was big back then! lol. for all of you who know what dance that was. lol
Me...my bros....my duce-an-a-quarter...my brim tipping low..gangsta lean....diamond in the back....the 8-track player pushin this through my speakers at MAX volume...even the police would bop to this groove and they always dug my vines and my other car...my cad eldorado (el dog)...back in the day baby, back in the day!
@ferroxian That's some humorous prose, Ferro. The only thing missing was the zoot suit, shades, and Stacey Adams kicks. lol. I also partied hard to this jam in the 70s, and I am baffled that the cut has fewer than 9K hits. I sense that the over 60 demographic isn't hip to the treasure that awaits them musically on YouTube - you need to pull their coats.:-)
when i was little and we had company, my dad made me and my little sister dance to the isley brothers music. we thought we were hot doing the pony! LOL
I believed the brother that played bass was the one that just past. The brother named Kelly past several years ago. This family has always been awesome on stage and making hits. Some of their best jams were from the 70's and 80's.
Ernie on the guitar brings out all Jimmy Hendrix´s influenece in every solo part he plays..Simply awsome to hear how generations are able to pass down their talent to those able to keep going with it....Only those real able to....!!! Jimmy was so quite right !!!
This is my Jam! What an awesome song and album and both bring back such great memories! Thanks for the upload, this is one of the greatest bandsof all time at the height of their powers.

Pure funk! That's some of the nastiest guitar ever pressed into wax! (Or an 8-track!)
