Yep! The megamix that orginates Stars on 45! But in that one they covered the song, instead of this that it's all made with original tracks.

Well, 1980... multitracking, rerecordings but... not computers, timestretching and some other things that today makes easy a titanic job as this!

I have a copy of tis vynil... and often I say a prayer in front of it! :-D

sooooo good to here this again! thanks for posting! i was dj'ing when this came out, i heard it once in a club, and searched EVERY record shop in my county to get a copy, but all i could get was a 3 minute edit (just before beatles come in) heard the long version since! this was what started stars on 45, as red bullet recordings (who ownd some tracks realised there songs were being used on a bootleg, and realised the potential, so made stars on 45, and re-recorded the vocals themselves!

Don't ask me names of the DJ, but the story of this song is as follows:

End 70's, begin 80's a studio technician started to mix some singles on a hand-clap track. Some collegues found the tape (yes, is was mixed on tape) and made a 12" record of it. There were no rights payed to the artist, so the record was only sold as a bootleg. In Holland, some guys copied the idea, studio-artist sang it and 'stars on 45' was born.

This original mix is called "Bridge Mix". On the B-Side you also had the "Dust Mix". The mix was made by Anjou.

Great mix and a shame that at the time it was banned by the record companies. It was a huge hit in the disco's. But commercially a clever guy in Holland got the credits and the money by creating "stars on 45" which is clearly based on this mix. Thanks for posting. As far as i know it can't be found anywhere else.
