@DeffingLeppard Well it's loosely based on the book. In the book there was an actual nuclear explosion but in the song they mistake an earthquake for the fallout. I don't think Iron Maiden would ever 100% copy something, they essentially made their own story here.

Well, the whole "shady sound quality" thing has never been an issue for me, as I bought the album. I did download it first, as I was so desperate to hear it. Rest assured, I would have bought it, even if it sucked ass (which it didn't.) I only came on here to see what other Maiden Fanatics thought of this song.
