That way, people won't spend their money only to be disappointed when they realize Earthbound has been overrated to a ridiculous degree by people who can't get over their own nostalgia long enough to realize how bland a game Earthbound really was. Graphics are the least important aspect of a game. And, yeah, I know EarthBound has good points. I never said it was a poorly written game, did I? But writing and emotion don't make a game good. The witty script and characters don't make up for the bad music, the sloppy controls (how an RPG fucked up this aspect still baffles me) and the shit storyline.

Mother 3 was EarthBound done right. All the emotion with none of the downside.
