that is the same way I remember my dad looking when he would play... So many memories of Little Feat from when I was a child. The loss of my other father recently made me want to go back down memory lane.. and relive the feelings of an easy life.
i love little feat too, thank you Holy planet for the best spot on earth AMERICA, thank you for my life today!!< keep spinn that Lowell George and that little feat, some the greatest humans ever to come!!!
trying to respond to comments, but for the life of me, I can't get past this first one!! And just let me add to that, I LOVE LOWELL GEORGE & LITTLE FEAT and have almost every single album, just hated to think someone might've purposely tried to make him look bad...know what I mean? Now let's see if I can find the other comments...
Such an original song and band but to the pic above, ARE YOU BLIND?!!! The man is obviously gettin' his groove on and his bindin' down that high string and gots the lean-back motion and the swung back head and eyes closed for feelin' it....ARE YA FEELIN ME?....nuff said! God bless Little Feat and RIP LG & Ritchie....we miss ya boys!
I hate this picture of Lowell George nodded out soo bad he's nearly unconcious!! Hate it, but the song is soo good and that's what makes the pic really suck...showing him like that sickens me. What's it prove??? :-/
@vradul man, I don't know why I didn't think of it!! Most pics of me look like I'm nodding out cause my eyes close just at the moment of the shot. thanks.
@lastpaganemperor Nobody can hold a candle to Little Feat, the most original band every come together...they mix funk, rock, gospel, dixieland jazz, and every other form of pure American music and have that country sound but not really...just amazing music that in my 50 yrs of loving rock have I found anything like it....blue grass a Capella an original sound, jazz is so innovative, country so raw, funk so primeval, gospel so pure... when these guys mix it up, there's nothing like it anywhere.
@txltlfrmn Agreed. But my knowledge of anything close to this music is based on what I knew ~ 20 years ago. I haven't kept up with current music and I don't want to be some old f*#$& that just dismisses current music as a waste. Americans have always done this in middle age, dismissing people like Elvis.
@lastpaganemperor LF was a cross-over band before the term was coined, they crossed every purely American style to create their own completely original sound and have survived every decade of musical change that has come along and still innovate today and remain popular. I don't compare their music to any other band, since IMHO there simply is no comparison.
@txltlfrmn Feat is one of favorite bands period but there was another band before them that was the original cross over band and it was of course...The Band.
Funny how Robbie Robertson and Lowell have similar stylings and interprete the stratocaster the same way.

@babsinjrzy He's not nodded out. He's playing his guitar, and his eyes were closed or he blinked at the time of the shot.
