We'd been working with this bird for an hour or so, they only fly when they're hungry, you tempt them to the glove with pieces of meat. When they're full they stop - They're "fed up". It's not big enough to crush a skull, but the talons are very sharp and when they grip, they lock in place.
I'm glad it was the jesses, and not the bird's talons. If it wanted to, could Eagle Owls crush our skulls in?
