  • Nicht nur der Film wühlt auf - auch die Musik!

  • bonecruncher.

  • Walking up the stairs to heaven for us is walking up the stairs to freedom for Truman

  • This movie is perfect.

  • We find some people leave this song on all night for comfort.

  • I´ts a Very good Song i love it.......

  • I'm gonna weep. This is such beautiful. Truly priceless moment.

  • In my top 5 favorites movies, maybe the best. The concept is visionary, intelligent and involves moments of humour, compassion, deep sadness or happiness,suspense... Jim can make us laugh hard and burst into tears in the same hour. He's such underrated. He's my idol since my childhood. So this movie's perfect with a genius as actor, soundtracks which give chills, a perfect scenario, with the best emotional ending ever. We identify with Truman each second of this masterpiece.

  • To this day, it is STILL one of my absolute favorite movies. They just don't make them like this anymore. It marked the end of an era if you ask me.

  • Jim Carrey really is an amazing actor. His potential peaked around this time, and I Love Philip Morris is up there with some of his finest work and a serious comedian actor.

  • It's by Wojciech Kilar!!

  • If you put this song at my funeral, I 'm not angry

  • truly amazing film, this song gives me goose bumps every time.

  • This is the best song of the movie. So Epic.

  • I love Christof in this film.

I find him so gentle and mysterious =)

Love the music in the movie too!

    The whole movie is awsome!!!

  • sounds like heaven...wonderful

  • In case I don't see you: good afternoon, good evening and good night!!!

  • This song breaks my heart...

  • played at my dad's funeral. he's right here now, listening to it with me.

  • @Xam271 I will... I'm sorry for your loss. I want this to be played at my funeral too

  • I got goose bumps :)

  • the truman show is the only film that has made me cry.

  • Truman. . I was watching when you took your first step. I watched you on your first day of school. Heh, I was watching when you lost your first tooth. Well say something for Christ's sake.. you're on national television...

In case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night.

  • Beautiful soundtrack!

  • Again: Wojciech Kilar wrote the song!

Check it, then correct the description!

  • Sublime.

  • I swear, when you walk through the gates of heaven, you will hear this music.

  • This song is another reason why the germans may have the greatest componists of the whole world.

  • @NunzioFunaki the composer of this beautiful piece of music is Polish not German! His name is Wojciech Kilar.

  • Great music from a Great Movie with a Great Actor. What's more ?

  • It was composed by Wojciech Kilar for the 1991 movie "Life for Life". Burkhard Dallwitz composed the majority of the original score, and Glass wrote some small piano themes especially for the movie (like Truman Sleeps or Raising the Sail) and some of his earlier works were re-used (from Anima Mundi, Mishima and Powaqqatsi)

Seriously, anyone can hear a huge difference in style between this piece AND Glass' works AND Dallwitz's works.

  • I think we can all admit when this was first announced, we thought this would be anoher dumb Jim Carrey comedy. Fortunately, i was wrong. It is dramatic and funny in this and was surely wronged of an Oscar nomination.

  • People u do realise the music pushed this film to its effect on the viewers!! without it or with a slightly unpolished score this film would still be great...yet..but phenomenal

  • absolutely beautiful

  • ............................

  • This scene where he finally discovers the truth... really epic. The music completes it.

  • Cool soundtrack. So relaxing but also somewhat motivating. Love the movie. I've watched it over and over and never get tired of it. As a child I often wondered what it would be like if my life was actually a movie someone was watching, and this was before The Trueman Show even came out.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=k9N2t9Bo0XU

its amazing how this version i found sounds so much darker than the truman show version. the truman show version kills this other one.

  • best epic

  • i just cannot put into words how much of a beautiful soundtrack this is.

Its touched my heart and made me a happier person, i think people forget how powerful music can be at times

  • @UneducatedGenius It touched my heart and it influenced my manic depression.

  • This absolutely never gets old.

  • @PrinceVartan Oh, well, not surprising why this seems to be the best track in the movie by far... :D

  • In my opinion this is the best and most memorable track from the movie.

  • i thought this was done by Kilar? I don't think this was Glass. I love glass, don't get me wrong. But not sure if he did this.

  • meditative and contemplative, relaxing, warm, emotional, timeless... they're too many wonderful adjectives for this incredible music

  • is this the song when he was reunited with his father?

  • @ewqcdhBCVADHCEJ no, this is the song when he finds out he has lived in a fake world. He touches the wall... .

  • @ewqcdhBCVADHCEJ this is the song at the end of the movie when he is beating on the wall, after the ship crashes into it.

  • This isn't Dalwitz or Glass. It's a piece by Wojciech Kilmar.

  • In my opinion, this is the best track of the movie. Then 'Truman Sleeps' right after.

I just think this one is so emotional, I think, because of the sad ending scene when he's punching that wall, with that song in the background, it just makes the music even more intense. I really don't think you would like this soundtrack as much if you hadn't seen the movie. Because when you've seen it, you think back at those scenes and how wonderfull or sad they were.

    Btw, Jim Carrey is AMAZING.

    ~Marie

  • Oh! and thank you for posting the soundtrack!! :D

This is definately one of my favorite movies with one of my fav actors.

    ~Marie

  • Christof: I have been watching you your whole life. I was watching when you were born. I was watching when you took your first step. I watched you on your first day of school. Heh heh. The episode when you lost your first tooth, heh heh... You can't leave, Truman. You belong here...With me. Talk to me. Say something. Hell, say something, goddammit! You're on television! You're live to the whole world!

Truman: In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight!!!

  • @Axelwater yeah

  • Amazing piece of music... not much more you need to say really... just amazing.

  • Wow ..

  • I just watched this video 2 minutes ago. Great movie!

  • Jim Carey at his best. wonderful film, beautiful music, heart, has everything.

  • Quite simply the most stunning piece of music i have ever heard.

One point it is written by Wojciech Kilar ;)

  • Jim Carrey did well in this movie because comedic acting is actually pretty hard. A lot of actors such as Carrey make the move from comedy to drama pretty easily and are usually pretty successful with it.

  • epic

  • epic

  • I'm pretty sure this was composed by Wojciech Kilar. There were a few other contributors to the soundtrack besides Dallwitz and Glass. Its actually an excerpt from Requiem Father Kolbe, which was done by Kilar as well.

One of my fav film compositions!

  • If one thought, (and that one is me), we all are Trumans. We live in a dynamic world with nothing new, full of lies, crime and much more... I surely hope, just like Truman, we can find a way to a whole new world. I hope... That there is still adventure awaiting. I hope for a new beginning...

  • @Guzotak:

Imagine a world with new octaves of sound, color, etc. Entirely new senses. New kinds of emotions... a higher life. If you're interested, look for The Road to Immortality by Frederic WH Myers (through Geraldine Cummins). Keyword is "the plane of colour" or "world of Eidos".

  • one of the best soundtracks in the movie

  • Who could say that jim carrey would, in his career as an actor slash comedian, do this wonderful movie? I think Jim Carrey as everyone, has limitless potential.

  • This is one of the most inspiring songs I have ever heard!!!

  • My favourite movie of all time. This is such a great piece really emphasises the emotion that everyone experiences

  • Stunning. Thought of this music while I was in the cinema watching District 9 for some reason!

  • Good afternoon, good evening, and good night everyone!

  • Awesome film!

  • where is track 6??? I mean the anthem

  • The Truman Show is a phenomenal piece of cinematic art. It is among my favourite movies. The unraveling of the plot and story line is splendid. Also, the soundtrack to this movie is absolutely fantastic; Burkhard Dallwitz & Philip Glass did a wonderful job. This piece in particular, featured here was actually composed by Wojciech Kilar. It is very meditative and relaxing.

  • un moment que je la cherchais, merci

  • I heard this track on a TV documentation as background music and I knew I've heard that in a movie before.

Finally I guessed that it must be from the Truman Show and after one hour searching I found it from you!!!! THANKS A LOT!!!!

  • This movie was just on today. Second time I've watched it and it still left me speechless.

  • it's the same with me ;)

  • @solodatemaru I've seen The Truman Show probably 30 times. And everytime I watch it it amazes me more.

  • This is a great musical homage to Father Kolbe.

  • Jim Carrey, one of the greatest actors. Can act funny, can act serious, can act real.

  • Couldn't have said it any better myself.

  • @supermankicass You Saw Blue Ray DvD ..Behind the Scenes of The Truman Show ... where all speaks about this. Jim Carrey is bla, blabla, blablabla..BTW...one of the best actor :D

  • @stellwind I didn't see in on Blueray, but I did see the special features thing after the third time I saw the movie. I posted that the after the first time I saw the movie. And yes! He is one of the best actors =D

  • awsome movie dude watched like 500 times...

  • I love Wojciech Kilar's music.

  • Kilar is his own genre, isn't he? :)

  • Check out his music on Jade

  • Easily the best Movie Jim Carrey was ever in.

  • amazing film and woderful music...

  • best film ever

  • And to think The Truman Show wasnt even nominated for Best Picture. Unbelievable.

  • they tend to do that alot with certain films , like they'll give a sympathy nod (best director), they did the same for the film "City of God" director gets the nod but nothing else its a shame. But at least WE all know great great films when we see one.

  • yea mugflub I am having the same problem finding this song..

  • Unbelievable how difficult it still is in this day and age to find songs like this to download. Criminy. iTunes has nothing, Amazon music has nothing. WTF?

  • Buy the cd, it´s awesome.

  • i am in a similar truman show. i know your all in on it too.

  • we all have our own christof in our heads

  • I am the creator of a television show that gives hope and joy and inspiration to millions. and who am I? You're the star.

  • One of the best lines in movie history.

  • Fantastic job with the slideshow, and the song is just phenomenal. Thank you for uploading!!!

  • I was in the cell Kolbe stayed in before his execution. A most noble and rightous man.

    Gegen Nazis

  • This is Wojciech Kilar's music!!!! Not Glass!!!

  • Imagine how horrible it must be to finally get away from all the weird things that are happening to you, then ending hitting a wall in the middle of the ocean, finding that you only exist for entertainment O:

  • you cant leave Truman ... you belong here ... with me.

  • This movie reminded me how life can have its ups and downs, but we still carry on, no matter how scary the world is or how tough it is, we continue to move forward. Great song, Great movie, Best film i have ever laid my eyes on. 10/10

  • best film I've ever seen, the second best being stranger than fiction.

  • I love this movie. Can you upload the rest of the soundtrack?

  • I'm on the way. :D

  • amazing film...jim carey great emotional actor!

  • great!!

  • Everytime i hear this sond it gives me the creeps

  • I loved the film and this piece, but why is it called Father Kolby's Preaching?

  • Because the original piece was written as a requiem for Father Kolbe, a priest who rescued many Jewish people in the time before and during the Holocaust in Germany.

  • excellent! im going to use this piece as a background music of my photo gallery

  • Excellent !

  • Amasing song

    Amasing film

    AMASING :)

  • if you don't cry or tear up at this point in the movie(when this song plays)...well i just don't know...specially if your emotionally drunk....

  • "Truman parla...

    ti ascolto"

    "Chi sei?"

"Sono il creatore..di uno show televisivo che dà gioia e speranza a milioni di persone"

    "E io chi sono?"

    "Tu sei la star"

  • That's what happens if German and American composers work together. Excellent !

  • bah... this one has nothing to do with American or German; in this case you should write - That's what happens if Polish composer create a requiem for a Polish priest

  • i realy realy looove this movie!! Jim Carrey is an awesome Actor, not only for Comedys. I prefer him in Dramas! He is so good and the Soundtrack of "Truman show" is just... beautiful! I cant stop listen...

  • Interesting. Is there any chance to get more infos about it. YouTube doesn't have a video from it. :(

  • Well I know that he was in that camp, and that he and some other people were thrown into a dark room with no food, he was taken away for trying to rescue some jews, of course, THAT wasn't so successful, apparently, he was a martyr

  • @sidneypat46 All of the info is on Wikipedia, if you're interested. Just look up Maximilian Kolbe. :)

  • You're welcome. I know what you feel. I don't understand why it's not as famous as others. Jim Carrey plays so good... I never thought of him in that way.
