People have theories about Tabuu...here is the truth: He is an embodiment of subspace that controls Master Hand via chains of light. He uses MH to have Bowser, Ganondorf, and Wario turn players into trophies to make it possible to cover the world with subspace. MH is the puppet, Tabuu is the puppeteer, and the chains of light are the puppet strings. When the puppet strings are broken (Tabuu releases MH), MH tries to kill Tabuu but gets killed instead. Crazy Hand has nothing to do with Tabuu.

Master Hand is the 'creator' hand and Crazy Hand is the 'destroyer' hand. They are mysterious entities, they could be a child's hands playing with his toys or beings that created existence and pit the trophies against one an' another. Taboo is the leader of Subspace and by using Mr Game And Watch he can create infinite shadow bugs to turn the world into subspace. Thats why there are those MGAWs on the Halberd, they are used to create shadow bugs. (The little black things)
