Hy! Have you already heard about PEDALBOOTS? Check out „PEDALBOOTS“ on GOOGLE and find out more about the revolutionary and professional way to protect and fix your pedals in any situation you need them as a musician!
You want the delay unit last (and always set to max everything) so that by hitting only one note you can record 5 minutes of a whole song just by turning all the knobs on all the pedals over a 5 minute period of time.
@kieran12390 That could be a key issue :-) Try breaking the setup down step by step - start with just the amp and the guitar, then add one effect at atime to see where the problem is. Do you use more than one drive at a time?
nur dont really use much gain, my guitar is an epiphone les paul custom, amp is randall 75watt. Thinking it could be the amp might upgrade when i get the cash, dont know wether to get an amp or a new guitar but to try and fix the issue.
yer i have tried them all with batteries the problem is still there. The problem is mainly evident when my equilizer is on maybe cause there is too much treble. But the noise dosent sound like an amp or pedal issue i was deffintally thinking it was the power supply but the battery situation blew that one out of the water. Any other ideas thanks again man
hey man i have a pedal board set up that is set up like this. Boss chromatic tuner>Boss noise suppressor> Boss super overdrive> Boss blues driver> boss turbo distortion> Boss equalizer. All this is powered by one single boss ac adapter daisy chained to all the pedals. When using any of the blues, distortion or overdrive pedals i get an incredible high pitched squeal noise come through the amp. Any ideas of how to fix this is it the way im running my power?
@kieran12390 your power supply is in no way adequate for those pedals, this produces the squeal. Try running them on batteries to check. A decent power supply doesn't cost much.
@kieran12390 Go Tuner>input NS-2 send>SD-1>BD-1>DS-1>Return NS-2 Output>GE-7. That will clean up that noise if you are still having issues with it. The three driver pedals will always make noise and tend to squeal if you combine them together. You will have to adjust your NS-2 to catch the squeal and not compromise your over all sound. Good Luck.
@Howardtripper A GT10 costs less than two of these pedals, and there's a reason. For a starter its a good multi-fx, which does try to emulate the sound of some of Boss's pedals, but its only emulating, it doesn't contain the individual circuits from each pedal. Its cheap enough that you can buy it to mess about with different effects, until you decide which to buy in single pedals.
What plugs (without the cables) did you buy to connect your pedals together? I'm running out of room on my pedal board and could use the space to squeeze more pedals in the board. I've never seen them at the store before...I've also never asked. Thanks!
@pilotboy17 Those are chordles double jacks. They ar emade by stagg (a cheap and nasty brand). I opened them up and put some better quality cable in them and now they are fine, I wouldn't reccommend using them unless your pedals are permanantly placed on a pedal board - they tend to 'banana' rows of pedals and can be quite harmfull to your input/output jacks.
@pilotboy17 I had the same problem with space. Search for "Hosa CFS107 patch cables" on amazon. They are pancake cables so you can fit pedals way closer together
im kinda a noob to pedals and stuff and im trying to figure out where to put my noise gate. should i put it toward the front or the back of my pedal board?
If it's an NS-2, all your noise and mod pedals should go in the loop, delays and reverb after the loop. The NS-2 should be first in line (unless you have a buffer sensitive fuzz or wah)
yeah if you use a NS-2 you send it through a loop if you want to see a demo of the Ns-2 i have a demo on my channel along with a demo on how to set it up and connect it
These guy are not trying to show off his pedal, but to educated player how orig. Boss sounds like. Other pedal are good too beside Boss. But this is just a demo's and a good one! Great job!
Boss RC-2 Loop Station, Boss ML-2 Metal Core, Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator, EBS Octabass, Behringer Chromatic Tuner, Behringer Chorus Orchestra Pedal, and a VOX Wah Peal. I know that Behringer are crappy quality pedals but the tuner and chorus do the job and the chorus has an acceptable sound in my opinion. I don't need to spend any more money on any pedals in the future. If I were to get another pedal, it would be the Bocc GE-7 Equalizer
i try not to keep to many pedals idk y. Its like Ive bought a YJM308 w/ the adaptor just never used it, same with my Ibanez DE-7, and Digitech Hot Head, and my Behringer V-Amp 2. ppl buy me guitar stuff and I just never use it for some reason. Ive got most of it on ebay now. Somebody else might as well use it.
boss is good... but i don't think you should have absolutely EVERYTHING boss... make it your own board, not bosses :D but i love some of the boss pedals, like analogue delay seriously makes me jizz...
already mentioned a couple of times - this is not my pedalboard, just loads of boss stuff on one board to see what it would sound like!!! :-) I tried a gig once with boss only stuff but I missed the versatility of my other pedals.
Boss Rocks! On my board I have an EQ, Metal ZOne, SD-! Overdrive, psm-5 master switch, along with other companies pedals. BOss are the right price, and they sound good, especially for, like a tremolo or something you wont use all the time.
the boss compressor is an amazing pedal, used it for a long while. the only problem i had was it was mine out of nowhere completely died on me, and i know a bunch of people who had the same thing happen to them
you suck for your pedal selection, there are pedals that sound good that dont have shity digital sounds and horrible bypass buffer like boss, they are called analog true bypass pedals. only 2 fx should be digital on any pedal board, certain types of delay, and obviously reverb. lean how to buy good pedals, then if you have time ...learn to play guitar cheers mate from nyc
Who the hell are you??? get a grip and find out who you are speaking about before making an ass of yourself on my site. If any more 13 year old Kirk Hammet wannabes want to leave comments feel free.
JOHN, dont be so defensive, chill out.. all i am syaing is i get annoyed when guitarists only use boss pedals. thats all, i think people who do that are uneducated in terms of good tone. if im wrong well thats my opinion. bu t im not, if i was wrong then boutique compoanies would be out of business, why would some buy a 300$ tremelo pedal from zves when boss has one for 80. mabye becuase boss doesnt make the best pedals arround. john: check out keeley, lovepedal, zvex wampler. then
wehter you hate Boss or not, Boss still has the best Delay and OD effects on the market. Boss does have horrble distortion effects at times one single Boss pedal will offer alot more tonal possibilites than ANY pedal company you can name. IF you wanna compare Boss pedals to Boutique pedal copanies, do not compare their "made in tawain" pedals, instead do some research on Boss "Made In Japan" pedals, you will find the best boutique pedals in the world such as the DM-2, MIJ SD-1, JSatriani DS-1
i would never get a boss distortion pedal. i agree many love the sd-1 and a ds1. ihave one dist pedal the fulltone ocd, i dont really use it much tho. ihave an engl savae 120, all the distortion i need.
I don't use all boss pedals - it's stated clearly in the vid that I put a load of boss pedals on one board for fun. The boss pedals I use are generally modded or in a TB strip anyway! I've been doing pedal workshops for the best part of 20 years, I know about Zvex, wampler, Keeley, analogman etc and use their products, they are superior - but that doesn't help out regular people who need to know how BOSS stuff sounds unmodded, which was the purpose of this short vid.
you're fucking stupid, you do know that buffered pedals are better than true bypass pedals right? all you need is a bypass switcher and these pedals will double in quality. more companies are switching to buffered construction.
i hate buffered pedals, to many mess up your tone, i use a 20 pedal true bypass looper, i also have a lovepedal buffer. that is the way to go. no player who knows about tone relies on boss buffers to drive their signal. they should have true bypass pedals, and get a specific designed buffer//line driver to drive the signal
did you read anything i just stated or do you just contradict yourself like that all the time? Boss pedals are great wether stock or modded. At least buffered construction ensures FET silent switching and your tones end-run... unlike "True Bypass"
I personally suggest the ISP decimator as a noise gate cause i think it does a better job than the ns-2 when it comes to tone sucking but yet again u have the CS-3 so it balances thing abit and when it comes to wah pedals i think Cry Baby is the real deal any other stomp pedal than those two i'd go for boss !!! Nice demo though =D
I'm wondering.. I mostly play pretty heavy distorted stuff, and hard rock... should i buy a Zakk Wylde signature crybaby and an OD-3, or the boss PW-10 wah? Help me! :P
I have a question.....I'm planing to build a Pedalboard....but i dont have more than 400 bucks.....I play stuff like Pink Floyd and LEd zeppelin....can someone tell me what are the neccesary pedals I need for that! Please, I need help
anything pretty much wat he has but try looking into cheaper pedals like danelectro and behringer i use those but every guitarrest needs a crybaby though
i think for pink floyd, 400 bucks won't be enough. But i think i'll share what i know: Jimmy Page used these pedals: Roger Mayer Tonebender fuzz box, Voc Cry Baby wah, Maestro Echoplex, MXR Phase 90. David Gilmour: (you may have racognised that he has a loads of pedals, but i will mention sone you may find on secind hand market) Electro harmonix :flanger, big muff, MXR phaser 90, dynacomp compressor, CS-2, ProCo RAT II, BOSS graphic EQ, Orange treble and bass booster, arbiter fuzz face, Boss hm2
Well buy a good distorion pedal then get a wah pedal, then you really need a delay pedal then either buy a pedal power box like a Voodoo or just put in a power strip. This is my opinion of what every guitar player needs.
how do you get a good clean tone with all those pedals impeding the signal.I use 3 boss pedals and get volume and tone loss. I use a gibson firebird and 100 watt Orange half stack and they sound awesome plugged directly into the amp
It's a good old fashioned class a AC30 style LOUD beast. This board was just an experiment BTW, my main board is in 'More from' and features many more goodies!!!!!!!!!

What song is that being played at 3:32 with the Chorus, Overdrive, Delay and later on the Leslie Sim?
HeyitzDA 3 years ago
that's just me jamming!
JohnDaleLive 3 years ago
I see. What are the settings on the three? I'm trying to emulate that sound with a Podxl. Thanks in advance.
HeyitzDA 3 years ago
where do you mean exactly??? the third minute, or sound???
JohnDaleLive 3 years ago
Oh, I meant the three pedals at 3:32. Like the drive and level on the OD, the sweep and depth on the chorus, etc.

ah, alright. But why is it always producing noise when i use both ds1 and cs-3? And it's kinda stopping my sound when do rock.
draeamante 3 years ago
probably a noisy power supply. try using batteries instead of wall power. Or buy a noise isolation power supply.
It could also becomming from noisy pickups, or your guitar cable could be way too long and running near a computer or flourescent light.
There are tons of reasons you could be getting noise. just gotta track down the culprits one by one and eliminate them one by one.
you might also try a noise gate

perfect! sir, will you give an advice? Is it possible to use both distortion and cs-3 for solos? it would be a good help for me.tnx
draeamante 3 years ago
Of course its possible, I leave my comp on all the time! It helps greatly with pinched harmonics and sustain.

SLASH4LIFE111 3 years ago
It the MD2 mega distortion. DS1 on steroids.
JohnDaleLive 3 years ago
I own Boss pedals. What have you found to be reliable brands for pedal connection cables, and power sources? Thank you
ArtDonna84 3 years ago
You should only buy BOSS' own 9v-adapter to minimize hum and tone-loss.

Mate, That is a fucking stunning tele, I have been to New york just to get tele's, WHERE DID YOU GET THAT ONE :O.....is it a custom shop?
rideXD 3 years ago
It's just a standard mexican nashville deluxe tele. The only mod is a neck on switch (pull up tone) and a midi pickup)!

Hi again, I don't use this pedalboard at all, it was just an experiment!
JohnDaleLive 3 years ago
how do you get a good clean tone with all those pedals impeding the signal.I use 3 boss pedals and get volume and tone loss. I use a gibson firebird and 100 watt Orange half stack and they sound awesome plugged directly into the amp
casino321 3 years ago
DD-3 is a little bit high in the repetitions, you should mod it
ferrex2004 3 years ago
???, the repeats can be adjusted with the feedback control
JohnDaleLive 3 years ago
Amazing tone, what amps and guitars do you use, i see a custom fender telecaster, nice
2800drengen 3 years ago
Thanks, it sounds much better at gig volume in stereo! The guitar is a (mexican) fender nashville deluxe tele and the amp is a laney VC30 112
JohnDaleLive 3 years ago
Allright, thanks
I will take a look at that amp :)
2800drengen 3 years ago
It's a good old fashioned class a AC30 style LOUD beast. This board was just an experiment BTW, my main board is in 'More from' and features many more goodies!!!!!!!!!
