@sassydramaqueen17 Well first off... you can't duck a point-range shot. Your body physically doesn't have time. If she had run, then he would have shot her anyhow since he had the gun out, and if she fought back, then he would either have shot her quickly or incapacitated her and gone after Jack. The whole point of her staying there was to give Foyet a sense of power, which kept him focused on her long enough for Jack to get away and hide. She sacrificed her life for her son.
