Hmm... Sean, in your inteview you mention that your mom "confessed" to abusing her power. When did she say this to you, and in what context? I met your own son in 2003 when he was a teen. We met in the emergency room at a hospital near my mothers house which is near your house. He told me that his grandmother no longer recongized you. He seemed to love his parents very much, and he also loved his grandparents very much, though he did not seem to know very much about them. How is he doing?
As a child of a parent that joined in 1974 this I hated this church. I grew up around the Prophet kids and they were definately bowed to. My mother gave everything we had to that church and Elizabeth Clare Prophet, and got nothing in return except some HOKEY teachings. I and every child I knew left when we were able to get free. I feel bad that some of them were so deeply restricted that when they got loose they exploded, and some did not survive it.
I saw my I Am Presence in 1974 on Long Beach, British Columbia. Spiritual experiences have been a part of my life. They are given by God. I remember meeting you in 1978 in Pasadena when I was serving on Staff. I designed the Guruma outfit for your Mother; which became available for members to buy in various colors. Devotion and faith will help you find peace. "Live to Love Life" ~Gurudevi
I am an evangelical Christian, but I learned about CUT through my interested in nuclear war and bomb shelters. I agree that every American should have a bomb shelter, like they do in Switzerland, but it shouldn't be based on what religion you are.
I also agree that preparedness minded people need to watch out for doomsayer "prophets" that pander to their interests and deepest fears and through that control everything about their flock.
The Teachings of the Ascended Masters are super real and saved my live many, many years ago. The teachings are about free will and they are not for everybody. We need to respect everyone's spiritual path and we also need to respect those than don't have a spiritual path.
Fascinating! Thanks you, Sean. Your commentaries on CUT and your sister's recent book are invaluable contributions to cult research. Looking forward to the documentary.
I'd like to know more about how CUT evolved through the I AM activity. Also, its political ambitions and more about what you have to say re: the nationalism/patriotism and conservative politics seemingly integral to CUT.
I love Elizabeth Clare Prophet and everything she has done. I am so grateful for her words. I entered these teaching when I was 11 now i am 44. I still practice and believe. These teaching have been a beacon of light for me everyday of my life. Saint Germain is real El Morya is real the violet flame works. Everytime I have had a problem or just wanted to rejoice the ascended master have reciprocated. And yes Lanello is an Ascenced Master. Sean i respect your opinion, and wish you well.
as a child of a parent that joined CUT in 1977 I wonder how many children of CUT people actually stay on and continue to believe. My memory of things their was steeped in a lot of skepticism. By the time i was twelve i moved to live with my dad thus ending my experience in the CUT. But after reading Erin Prophets book it made me wonder how many children actually continue to believe?
thank u sean for ur words, i really admire u ur so brave to be so open minded and say things just the way they are, may i ask u 1 more question, at CUT we r told that ur father is an ascedede master "lanello", do u think its true, or do u think its just ur mom´s beleive?
i went to this church till i was seventeen i feel brainwashed believing in ascended masters and arcangels the worst thing was bcos i lived in west africa iwas young and i found it difficult to explain my religion to my peers
Anyone is free to delete comments here on and here after. The nasty shit we have to go thru to find any interesting or meaningful comments should be left out. What a waste of my time MishaVargas. <--- Shoot, that was a waste of everyone's time. Good luck on your documentary from a Montana resident.
Cult was Not a pejorative term until a madman named Jim Jones made his 900 followers drink purple Kool Aid in a mass suicide in the 1970s. All present-day religions started out small and were viewed as cults...however, one should not judge or condemn another person unless you have walked a mile in their shoes...
So what. These people have everything stockpiled from food, guns, and fuel. All anyone needs to survive our government attack. They are South of Livingston MT. In Paradise Valley, you know next to Ted Turner...
Nobody is perfect and no religion is perfect. There is no such thing as a final state of perfection.Life is a never ending growth process so we grow into 1 religion and grow out into the next.
Could you clarify that a little? A given for you, or for everyone? Not one of my subscriptions uses comment moderation, and they have their share of nasty commenters. It's not that big of a deal.
I would think moderating comments would be a pain for YOU, aside from the inevitable suspicions that you abuse the system.
This is exacerbated a bit by YouTube not showing a public record of when, how often, (and perhaps who) a person like yourself chooses to censor.
MishaVargas, apparently you missed the drama here in the past few days. It's a given for anyone like myself who seems to attract religious trolls. One person can (and did) quickly post half a dozen abusive and content-free ad hominem attacks. I'll have an article about it in BSJ tomorrow where you'll be able to see the deletions. It's not censorship, since anyone is free to say whatever they want on their own blog page, or to make their own video response if they care to. Cheers.
I admire any attempt to get to the heart of the matter when it comes to what happened with Elizabeth Clare Prophet and C.U.T. It seems pretty obvious from this video that Elizabeth's son is striving to do just that.
GodBeauty,
This is detailed in the article entitled "Happy Birthday Mom" on the Black Sun Journal site.
You are correct that since around 2000 she hasn't recognized her family. My sons are doing well, thank you for asking.
What does "GodBeauty" mean?

God bless Elizabeth Clare Prophet!

I suppose ECP's ability to do "dictations" for long periods contributed to her believability, for some people.
I wonder if she used a technology inserted in one or both ears that allowed the words to be fed to her.

I've had to delete PLENTY of comments on my own online endeavors. And 99% of it has been religiously motivated.

Comment moderation is a given these days. Sorry, I know it's a pain for legitimate users.
