  • Nice video, I like all the different four ball siteswaps, they're way more my level of juggling and a really good practice :)

  • are you finnish?

  • @MrGrazyD96 okay I checked your channel:D your name was just like finnish...

  • @MrGrazyD96 Nope, I am from Texas.

  • glad you liked the video!

  • could u make a 6 ball tutorial please?

  • Geeez.

    You are REALLY good.

  • Please make tutorials for other 4 and 5 ball siteswaps like 534, 633, 7333, and 645!

  • I will see what I can do. It may be a while, though, as I'll have to borrow someone's camera.

  • thank you

  • I really don't mean to offend anyone but try to find an overweight professional juggler, and you will not find one. I doubt this guy practices everyday for more than 3 hours which is equivalent to about 15 minutes of aerobic exercise. And many jugglers run, lift wieghts.....

Unless you just do this as a hobby, but really running and lifting weights is fun and really good for you. Run a mile everyday and lift weights every other day and you'll be a totally different person. It's easy.

  • yes, because we all know that overweight people who don't have regular exercise regimens and don't practice juggling all the time are completely incapable of giving good advice.

For the record, I'm just a hobbyist. Don't really care for juggling in the professional realm. Too much traveling involved. I will disagree with you on the running and lifting weights being fun. However, I do enjoy fitness classes at a local boxing gym. I've lost 40 pounds!

  • No, no no. That's not what I meant, you gave great advice. And I've actually noticed you lost some weight because I've seen your earlier videos. You can be REALLY good at juggling and still give BAD advice.

  • AWESOME tutorial.

    Damn that tricks is hard.

I've been considering starting to work on it (with canes in single flips only). Maybe I will fall in love with one of the lower patterns. :)

  • thanks a lot man! You'll have to show me your progress at jugglefest this year :)

  • great vid i dont think im even gonna mess with this yet seems a bit advanced for me. very helpful 3 ball pratice. thank you

  • this is a good tutorial i started learning the 4 ball bits a few months ago and the first time i tried it with 5 balls i got it. it's not as hard as i thought, i even find it almost easier than the 4 ball version.

  • Well what are you doing here on youtube then?

  • Dude, makes me wonder what your problem is. Nice Tutotial by the way!

  • Comment removed

  • hey man, you look so prepotent... i'd like to see you juggling 5 balls like him.

  • you sir are a hateful bastard.

  • Now this is what a juggling tutorial should look like. Excellent work, very thorough, step-by-step, starting with easy breakdowns, all the way to the final pattern. Love it.

  • great tutorial man

  • thanks ctjuggles pointed me towards this and he was right this is an amazing tutorial, its my first day of practise and so far i can do the two 3 ball patterns solid and a couple of rounds of the first 4 ball pattern on both sides

thanks a lot this is an amazing tutorial

  • just an update i can now do 3 rounds of the 5 ball one from a cold start but i cant seem to get any further

    any tips

  • 5 rounds :P

  • Great video. Jugglelab is great but it really helped to see the practice patterns and transitions done live. I also love the Wii Sports music in the background :)

  • excellent advice on the transitions, i can do the pattern, but it does me no good if i want to run it with other stuff, thank you for that : ) (i actually came here hoping you'd mention the 6,4x* but still extremely helpful, particularly getting into and out of the pattern without using a half shower or 1 up 4 up) thanks again : ) keep juggling!! oh. . . and when is the one going to come out for the 8x,6* :-P

  • wow man thanks this is the best tutorial i have ever watched i can do it now from the cascade to 3 rounds of it back to cascade i am very proud of that and i will post a response of my progress after 1 week :) i really hope you watch it :)

  • wow thanks for the kind words, and I'm glad this helped. I'm definitely looking forward to the video of your progress!

  • i am about to post the response now :) do you think i am doing good after 4 months?? and are you going to IJA this year i am if so i will see you there

  • I really, really wanted to go to IJA this year but have just been flat broke lately and couldn't come up with the money. Maybe next year. There is absolutely no way I'm missing the WJF in December, though. When you say four months, do you mean working on 6x,4 for four months or do you mean that you began to juggle four months ago?

  • i learned to juggle 4 months ago and i want to go to WJF 5 in december soooo bad but idk if i can if i can i will surly let you know :)

  • if you learned to juggle four months ago I'd say that is stellar progress.

  • wow thanks!!! also you should check out my 7b flash video :)

  • This is a great tutorial. I have been trying to find a tutorial on this trick forever. I like the way you broke it into baby steps because thats how i learn. Thanks a lot for the tutorial and keep up the good work juggling. :)

  • Thanks for making this. I'm still working on making my 5 ball cascade solid enough but will certainly start on this now as well.

Also, you don't have to justify what you said about good jugglers. That would be like saying that only Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen are good guitarists. You look like a good juggler to me. Don't sell yourself short =). Thanks again.

  • i'm sorry, i mean i think its a great tutorial but i dont think that all those siteswaps to learn the 6x4 are really necessary but rather confusing, i mean i dont want to be rude about it but i learned it without all that

  • Yeah, you can definitely learn it more ways than one. This is just the way I learned it. I like to take baby steps when learning things, and siteswap allows for that.

  • Hey i completely agree with babysteps, and like i said i don't want to be rude in anyway but its a great trick and its not hard to learn but rather hard to catch on to

  • 5 stars from me. Well explained. I do not even have solid 50 catches with 5 but will begin working on the 3 ball and maybe 4 ball variations of this so when I AM about 200 catches....I might already be able to do it.

    I just subscribed too.

    Peace

  • Nice ballz my man!

  • Nice job on this tutorial. you broke the pattern down into good little pieces. You took the time to explain! you should make more. I would add maybe a slow motion run of the final pattern, or goal of the tut, at some point near the end and/or beginning. Excellent video!

  • "Crazy russians"... lol.

  • Very nice video :P It's not excited because you can go into it from the basic 5 balls synch pattern, which would be (6,4)or (6,6)(6,6)(6,0) it doesn't really matter, you do need a transition to go into from the cascade tho.

I was impressed by your oral skills also.

  • Thank you sooooo much!!!!!

I watched this tutorial 3 days ago, and now I can do (6x,4)(4,6x) for over 30 catches. Just an advice for everybody: learn all the steps( I mean 3, and 4 ball tricks) before you go to the 5 ball trick.

Thank you again. Could you post a tutorial video of (6,4x) (4x6)? It would be great!

  • actually, i can't do (6,4x)(4x,6)

    i'm working on it though.

  • technically, you should be able to use the same tutorial and just change the siteswaps from (6x,4) to (4x,6), so that (6x,4)(2,0)(2,4)(4,6x)(0,2)(4,2) becomes (4x,6)(2,0)(2,4)(6,4x)(0,2)(4,2) and so on.

  • 5 stars!! Very well done tutorial. I know another transition to start (6x,4)(4,6x). You are juggling a 5 ball cascade and then you have to make a 667, right after that you start (6x,4)(4,6x). Try it! :D

  • i tried this today and it didn't work for me. obviously i need to try it a few more times.

  • I forgot to explain something that may be the reason that it didn't work for you. If you start the 667 with you right hand, the "6x" of the (6x,4) must be done with your left hand (so it goes in the other direction of the "7" in the 667.

  • tried this again last night. it is actually a very nice transition!

  • Yeah! I've recently learned (6x,4)*, and one friend of mine, actually one of the best jugglers here in Peru, tought me that transition.

  • its not that its an excited state pattern its that its a synchronous pattern and a cascade is async so you cant go right into one from the other you have to do one of the transitions you were talking about. otherwise nice video. for (6,4x)*, once you have (6x,4)* solid its not that hard the lower one just crosses instead.

  • I guess I still don't quite get the difference between ground state and excited state then. I'll have to do some more reading on it.

  • its exactly what you said you cant go into it from a cascade. but im not sure what an excited state is for sync patterns then... maybe theres a more technical definition.

  • I showed this to my juggling friends and they appreciated your advice, m'kayyyyyyyyyy?

  • m'kayyyyyyyyyy

  • 0:26- so true! Took me 6 months, too. A hard trick. Your comments on the side (commentary in the write-up) is SUPERIOR and just as essential. Well done. (Do you teach?)

  • thanks. I do not teach professionally, although I have thought about going into it because people tell me I am good at explaining things.

  • awesome! thanks so much! i now realize i am several months away from actually learning this, because my 5ball half-shower is weak, and my best cascade is 140ish catches... but still, excellent tutorial! the link, and full 'practicing siteswap manual' off to the side is just as helpful as the vid itself! seriously, thank you!

  • if your best is at 140ish catches just work on going from cascade to half shower then back to cascade. It will solidify to 200+ catches in no time. Also, it never hurts to start working on the 3 or 4 ball patterns for now.

  • Excellent tutorial!

  • Thanks!
