it is called a sword dance. and when i did this dance, my "sword" had metal decorations hanging off of it and it cut me several times. XD everyone in my team got cut or scratched. and just for clarification, korean dance is extremely hard and you need a lot of discipline to learn it and perform it.
Thanks to whoever filmed this. I've been looking for youtube clips of dances I got to see the Little OL Korea group do at my college, and this is just perfect. Simply beautiful. :)
haha...korean traditions also have that...good that u tried dog meat before...lol...go koreans! Legalize the sale of dog meats...and show the world that korea government is a sovereign state that will not bow down to international pressure!!! Korean Pride!!!
Screw the international pressure. I hate how the Japanese frown upon the Koreans and Chinese and the Vietnamese for eating dog meat and also for being much superior
Alright. I'm korean so i know stuff. Koreans and all the other people only eat dogs that are grown to be eaten. Well, you don't think eating cows or pigs is weird, d'ya?

what NOM NYEON insult are you talking abt? If it is about dog eating in Korea, it IS korea's national delicacy...and majority of the koreans do enjoy dog meat after a hard day of work...accompanied with some beers and group of friends...it is our culture. Please don't try to interfere or insult our national integrity. We will legalize the sale of dog meat and not bow down to foreign powers!
thats not a silla soldiers outfit idiot, thats a korean womens dress, only the hat is for men and the hats from Joseon period which is like 600 years old not 1500

That Dance oriendted of Koguryo. old Korean Dynasty. Koguryo= Koryo= Korea(actually it sounds exactl same as Koryo).
But somehow, Chiness insists that Koryo was a par of China. actually they insists that Tibet, Japan, Ukraina, even Russia was a part of China. lol
danced with sword, becuase they always has to fight with Chinese.
Detre32 2 years ago
actually this dance dates as far back to the time of Silla...
but you're right China insists that. I find it funny mainly because it was mongols who did that and China takes credit for it.
strengthofwill 2 years ago 3
and that China was totally decimated by mongols too lol

Not all Chinese people think that, that's a pretty generalizing statement.
